It looks okay so far. How are you using it in your game? What do you think of it? Anybody basing a while campaign around it (I'm thinking of doing so).

I haven't had a chance to use anything from it yet (why isn't there a jungleburn? THAT's what I need right now)

It looks totally cool. Can't wait to have reason to use it.

I bought it, I love it, and am in the process of building a campaign around it. I love the crunchy bits- especially the game effects of weather/environment- but also the fluff. Both the new gods and locations will be playing key roles in the game. I would post more, but worry about one of my future players who lurks here more than I do... :p

Not a whole campaign, but I am planning on an adventure that drags the PC's through a long wildreness trek during winter.

And I will use it when I run my "Fortress of the Gods" scenario, which deals with a castle located beneath a polar lake/glacier, fifteen thousand feet above sea level. Freezing cold, shortness of breath, fatigue, the enviroment becomes the BBEG.

I have Frostburn. (Thanks DTRPG!) It's not bad. I'd prefer to see if I can get Frost and Fur to compare but overall it has some ideas I'd probably use in an Albadia/Fenrilik campaign. Otherwise it's far from exciting but it's very well written and very well thought out.

(Especially the druid spells.)

Frost and Fur is still better. Frostburn has some nice ideas in it but I really don't think it is really that creative.

I agree Crothy there. Frostburn doesn't go nearly far enough outside the box. If it even does go outside the box. I guess it depends on the box shape and size...
But I'll make my determination on which is better when I get Frost and Fur.

I don't want "outside the box", I want to play D&D. ;)

I buy Frostburn, I really want to use it.

Where do I send my PCs on their next adventure? The Isle of Dread. Arrrggghhhhh!!!!!!!

:D

Cheers!

Unfortuantely that one of the reasons I haven't been happy with many of Wizards books. They been to bland, too regular D&D. THe 3.0 splat books for instance had classes that were a little out there like the Oozemaster, the Alienist, the Lolth thing from the rogue one. But while the 3.5 books are better organized, better written, and more balanced; they seem to lack the creativeness of the earier books.
