Thael inspects the area and the man, looking for signs of things arcane

OOC: [roll0] plus [roll1] from guidance if we're getting close to the 10 minutes since we entered,
Thael will use the +5 to the roll from ispiration, but will wait if he still has several minutes

The pool seems to contain some kind of white rocks at the bottom of it.

[sblock=Arcana]This room is tied to the magical warren of Ice Hold, things that stay here will become still, like the water here or this body. If one were to stay here too long, they would grow terribly still, frozen in place. It's better not to linger too long.[/sblock]

Thael feels chills down his spine as he realises the power within this place. "We need to get out of this room, or our fate will be the same as this man's. Very strong magics here" he adds as hegoes to the corpse, to briefly inspect it. He glances around the room to see if he can find anything magical that he can safely take with him, and if not, he retreats out.

[sblock=Kilvo]The white stones at the bottom of that pool are glimmering cerussite, an ore that can be refined into lead. Based on the dead bodies appearance you would not be too surprised if he is a brewer.[/sblock]

"That man's a brewer," Kilvo says, breaking his silence. "Or likely was, from the way he dresses. And those stones at the bottom of the pool are cerussite. Valuable if yer needin' some lead." If the pool is shallow enough, he reaches in with his mechanical hand to grab one of the stones.

"Interesting. But we're looking for a girl and maybe can be helped. This poor man is beyond our help." the bard looks inside, but nothing screams 'interesting ruins/artifacts' here so he remains with the boy

Kilvo notices the stone is unusually cold, but it starts to warm up in his... handclawthing.

As you advance further you approach a tunnel that has a series of stone steps going up towards a collapsed doorway to what would have been a nicer manor at some point in the past. It looks like some of this structure survived the cave in relatively intact. Any precautions you all want to take?
