So this structure is large and you can possibly approach from multiple directions. The most direct entrance is right in front of you. The columns that held this building together are 50/50 either in good shape or broken or angled from the cave in. What would have been a grassy field surrounded this place.

Raghnall places the boy down and hurls a rock into the doorway and listens to see if any thing reacts on the inside.
OOC: perception [roll0]. How long has it been is Sorweel likely to wake up soon?

Thael inspects the structure, and tries to see it it corresponds to anything he may have read about in the past.

OOC: Note sure wat kind of roll is required here, so here are a few:
Perception [roll0] plus [roll1] from guidance
history [roll2] plus [roll3] from guidance
arcana [roll4] plus [roll5] from guidance

Edit: wow, nice rolls, all three 20 or above ;-)

Ersarkess pulls the boy back into the hallway. That way he has at least some protection from whatever comes at us. He's itching to explore this ruin, but they came to get the girl. And Sorwheel would mention the manor if she was here somewhere.

It seems he lost his mind after all. The bard wraps the boy in a net. If he awakens, he can be safely unwrapped, if they have to run he can be grabbed quickly. Finally, if he is some kind of monster, he can be nicely restrained and delayed if he's already in the net. Win-win.

Finishing that, Ersarkess looks at the manor trying to discern any mark that would help him fit it into the flow of time. As the barbarian slams the door from distance he flinches and pulls out his rapier.

"Great! Exactly what we need."
Aloud he calls out to the barbarian
"Maybe a little less noise, my large friend? You may have alerted whole tribe of humanoids inside. Or any other kind of unpleasantness."

[sblock=History]The most likely building you are looking at dates back to the "sinking" of Ashwell. The lord mayor of the region had a rather expensive and expansive estate for the relatively small sparse town. Stories tell that he was into various unsavory occultish things, including doing harm to animals, people, even children. They may all just be fables, however, as no-one confirmed any of the allegations before the city suddenly sunk into the earth.[/sblock]

OOC: We're only 10-20 minutes away from when Sorwheel was incapacitated.

Kilvo hangs back studying the curious stone while the others decide the best way to approach the sunken manor.

OOC: Arcana [roll0] to discern if there are any magical or alchemical properties to the stone.

OOC: The strange room you acquired the stone from had roughly the properties of a slow spell, starting very slowly and increasing in effectiveness over time. The rock seems to just be "catching up" to normal time, and in so doing is returning to its warmth before that area slowed down. Whatever made the rock warm then isn't here now, so the rock will eventually cool off as well.
