OOC: Ha ha ha -- until the last sentence, I was hopeful for a minute there! Did Carradoc get to Z12? (post 1273). That will affect his next move.

Oh I guess so.

Thaliss spell connects soundly, but Dent can't seem to land anything more than a glancing blow against the creature's carapace.

 

[Kobold Stew]

Carradoc keeps his eyes on the creature, but darts around to the other side. As he does he draws his blade, stabbing at the creature when he gets the opportunity.

OOC: Move to Y9 (Z12, Y12, Y 11, Y10, Y9). Shouldn't provoke an opportunity attack, but will do so from Carradoc if the hulk continues forward towards the group. Attack with dagger [roll0]. If a hit, [roll1] piercing damage.

 

[Forged Fury]

Damien loaded another bolt and fired at the hulking abomination. Had he the capacity to feel compassion, he might have felt sorry for it. Instead, his focus was on the things finger blades and how much he didn't want to feel their bite.

Carradoc's blade can't seem to find a place, but Damien's bolt does.

Tolan aims another shaft downwards hoping to mimic Damien's success.

Aridha leapt off the ceiling and onto the monster's back, trying to sink her fangs into its armored hide to deliver a potent dose of venom before its thrashing could knock her off!

Unfortunately its back was thickly plated indeed, and she was unable to bite it. She had to bound back off onto the floor, opposite Dent, hoping to find a softer spot.

Tolan's bow strikes rue, though Aridha's bite does not.

The creature retaliates, striking at Dent repeatedly with claws and pincers. Not a single strike gets past his armor or shield.

The creature already seems to be in great pain, exhausted and starved.
