Round 6

Zarpox summons his Hideous Blow, but misses [1]. A few more arrows join those sprouting from the ground around the warlock.

Kaddok circles around the front of the bullocks, putting him in a good position to rush to his companion's aide [2].

Ather attempts to scramble out of trouble, but disorientated for a moment, he finds his way blocked by the rear wheel of the wagon [3]. The wolf gets his fangs into the fighter before Ather can get away [4]. Bloodied, Ather manages to find some space and stand.

Seizing the moment, the wolf pursues the fallen Ather. Having just before found his feet, the warrior is just able to keep the wolf at bay [5].

Zarpox feels the wolfs jaws clamp around his leg, and suddenly the warlock is on his back [6]. Fortunately for the warlock, the wolf's rider is unable to take advantage of the warlock's misfortune [7].

The two wolves and one rider continue to attack Brottor. Brottor just manages to keep his feet after the wolf gets a mouthful of flesh [8]. The second wolf and rider are unable to match the first wolf's success.

Brottor is unable to land a blow on any of his opponents.

Alton, seeing that Zarpox is down, casts his Fire Ray. Alton is struck by several arrows [9], but holds the spell and his ray finds its target [10].

"By the nine hells! I shall terminate you foolish dog waste!" Zarpox shouts as he is tripped.
The warlock will try to stand up if there is no enemy near him. If not he will try to shoot an eldrich blast if he can from his position.

[sblock=OOC]
The eldrich blast is a spell like ability, and do not produce attacks of opportunity. Just in case ^^

I'm hurt, but I'll survive! the wounded rogue shouts back. He then strikes back against the wolf that has been hounding him.
[sblock=ooc] If he can set up a flank, he will tumble (acrobatics +7) then attack (+5 for 1d6+1, +1d6 sneak attack). Otherwise he'll just attack and tumble away, possibly under the wagon again.[/sblock]

Round 7

Zarpox attempts to use his Hideous blow, giving his opponents an opening they seize upon. The warlock manages to stay clear of the wolf's fangs, but the rider is more successful [1]. Zarpox loses his concentration for a moment [2]. Sensing victory, the wolf and rider press hard [3].

Kaddok hefts his maul and closes rapidly on the melee centred around Brottor. The shaman's maul pounds the ground beside the solo wolf, missing, but getting its attention [4].

The lone wolf rider glances around at the two armoured warriors, then turns his mount and flees into the darkness. Moments later, the rider-less wolf follows. For the moment, Brottor and Kaddok are alone on the left side of the wagon.

Ather slashes at the wolf, drawing blood [5]. The wolf pulls back for a moment, allowing Ather to tumble away safely this time [5b]. But the wolf has the smell of blood in it nose, and pursues the rogue. Ather holds it off [5c].

Brottor, glancing around, sees Ather being harassed a wolf. A little way off, but still close enough to reach if the dwarf hustles [6]. The sergeants sword carves another bloody gash across the wolf's flank. The wolf yelps with pain, and sticks its tail between its legs [7].

Alton takes a deep breath, a summons his Fire Ray. No arrows fall. The Ray, however, misses its target [8].

Brottor follows Kaddock's lead while warily watching the wolf that seems out of the fight, moving towards the next goblins that are either attacking the nearby animals or simply those in his path. "That's it, Kraddock! We're beginning to get them on the run now!"

Round 8

Zarpox attempts to strike the lone wolf, but misses [1]

Kaddok checks the situation. The goblin warriors no longer seem to be attacking this wagon, although sounds of fighting still come from ahead. Zarpox, on the other side of the wagon is the only one of the companions still engaged. Kaddok reverses his steps and heads back around the front of the wagon to assist Zarpox.

Ather watches the wolf warily as it flees.

Seeing the approaching Kaddok, and sensing that he alone remains fighting, the last wolf rider hurls a curse at the fallen warlock and withdraws, quickly disappearing into the night.

Brottor, after ensuring that the wolf has fled, likewise looks around, noting pretty much what Kaddok did. Except that Zarpox is now no longer being attacked.

Alton, seeing no immediate targets, relaxes for a moment.

Winison scrambles down from the wagon, still carrying the heavy crossbow. "We have to help Humbar and Heik," she says to Kaddok. "Listen, they are still fighting." With that she rushes forwards.

The departure of the last wolf allows Roth to begin to calm the animals. The two bullocks are slick with sweat, and blood. They have multiple slash wounds to their legs and bellies. Their eyes are rolled back and they stagger drunkenly.

From up ahead a horn blows - one long note followed by two short ones.

[sblock=ooc]1. Zarpox 6+4-4-4 vs AC14, miss.[/sblock]
