[IC] Eberron: The Plumbers

OOC:
Alara would favor Northedge as a little closer and there being no need for frills ("We're here to get a sword wound healed, not to get the kobold shampooed. That's for after the fight."). Any objections?

OOC: Now I have a picture in my head of a kobold, singing in the shower and washing his scaled bald head with foam... :D

Closer is good, so Northedge is also my preference.

Lower Tavick’s Landing/Dragoneyes
Far, 28 Rhaan, YK 998 (Early autumn)/1245
Weather: Temperature normal for the season (cool), no wind, light rain (outside the towers)
Round 0

The Plumbers managed to wave down a skycar, which took them from the Terminus district to the next district over, Dragoneyes. “Have fun,” the cab driver said with a wink at the adventurers.

Dragoneyes was quite different from Terminus and its low rent tenements and other housing. The same housing existed in Dragoneyes, but each street seemed different as the Plumbers made their way toward the address they had been given. The west side streets looked fairly upscale for a low tower district as they passed Velvet’s, clearly a high end inn of fantasy fulfillment. Another establishment, Chance, was definitely a high end gambling hall. There seemed to be a lot of changelings in the district.

As the Plumbers passed to the east side of the district, however, the local population and clientele became less sophisticated. Instead of the wealthy or tourists, there were Cogs workers and teamsters, rough and tumble folk that preferred a rowdy tavern, brothel, or gambling den. The light rain didn’t seem to phase people much.

The address the grouped arrived at was on the Street of Eyes. It was marked by a sign that simply said HEALER. The hours given on the door were noon to midnight or by appointment. The doctor apparently kept late hours.

A bell rang as the door opened, and a voice from a back room called, “Be right with you! Feel free to take off your pants or hike up your skirts, get on the bed, and put your feet in the stirrups.”

Said bed sat in the next room over, under a bright lamp, the windowshade drawn for privacy from the street. The front room in which they stood was mostly a waiting area, but there were shelves of jars and bottles, along with some herbs hanging to dry from the ceiling.

You notice a lot of the marked bottles are salves or ungents or other things meant to be rubbed over itchy or burning sores in more...intimate locations on the body.

Ogham moves into the room, uncomfortable. This is not what he remembers from the field medics he served alongside in the army, but then again, not-warforged do have a strange biology.

He stands next to the bed, unsure what to do.

Rotom internally questions the instructions, but doesn't quite have the energy to object verbally: My pants? I was stabbed in the gizzard, not the tail!

With a headache and a sigh, she trudges up to Ogham. "Help me out of my armor, friend? This mail is hard to get off when you have been bleeding in it."

OOC: Well that's an interesting roll:
medicine check: 1D20-1 = [1]-1 = 0

Alara eyed the stirrups, then the kobold, then the doorway from which the voice had spoken. The late hours already had the wizard wondering what manner of creature they might encounter, but the paraphernalia made her still less comfortable. "I don't think we'll be needing the stirrups today," she called back to the other. "My friend has been stabbed."
