D&D 5E (IC) Fitz's Folly

OOC: If they stopped and the one carrying something is going there we need to stop it...maybe they are actually reviving Snowwhite...but somehow I doubt it

Ussal lunges toward the zombie with the rod. He grabs for the rod and after grabbing it emits a pulse of telekinetic foce, pushing the creature away.

Move: AG28
Action: grab the rod from the zombie (
No idea what is needed, just a base roll: 1D20 = [14] = 14
- add appropriate mod (STR / Athletic +0, ali telekinetic grab might be +4 (base int) or +7 (int + proficiency) - in that case, Action would be STR based shove and DC would be 11 :)
Bonus: Shove (zombie makes Str check DC 15 or is pushed 5' back into AI30

As Ussal slithered forward, his metallic scales scraped across the stone floor. The dwarf turned, finally noticing the intruders, and let out a gurgling moan. Ussal wrestled with it over the rod, but the dwarf was too strong. Finally, the serpent-folk blasted the dwarf with telekinetic force, throwing it against the alchemical work station and knocking over a large gourd full of bubbling goo.

Chrysagon followed Ussal into the room. Or was it a laboratory? he thought to himself as he looked around to get his bearing. He spotted the dwarves at the north end and decided to stop them from whatever they were doing. He felt the energy flow into the flail and it lit up, making the room much brighter.

Channel Divinity for Sacred Weapon, which adds Cha modifier to attack bonus (+4) and it becomes a magic weapon.
Chrysagon moved 30 ft into AC28.
Reminder: Anyone friendly within 10 ft of Chrysagon will enjoy the Aura of Protection (+4 to saving throws).

Miss Imogen makes her way down the stairs as quick as she can. She has an arrow nocked.

OOC: From where she is, a double move (move+dash) will take her to AC 32.
If she can start further down the steps, she'll go to the same place, but with a READIED ACTION to attack, triggered if any dwarf either (a) charges her or (b) rushes for the single visible door.

AC 17, HP 45/45.

Chrysagon and Imogen moved down the stairs and into the room. The tomb dwarves had been so engaged in their work, that it took a moment for them to realize that their work was being interrupted. One moaned and lifted a battle-axe, and the others slowly began to do the same.

Weed skipped down the stairs and followed Imogen, standing behind her and loading its leaf-sling (which grew from a root in its arm). Qawasha (who was still wearing the form of an ape) also followed, but remained by the bottom of the stairs, awaiting a need for his assistance as a healer.

OOC: C'mon gang! @KahlessNestor and @Neurotic please take a turn. I'd like to get my own momentum moving again, and I need your help to do so.

Myrral dashes into the room on all fours; flashes next to the snake-man and the zombie pushed against the table. Turning against the table, he pushes back as quickly as he arrived. A living creature might be distracted by his antics and not even realize his target is the rod and not the body itself. The zombie, never quick at the best of times, barely has time to swing at the rushing cat-man.

OOC:
Using sleight of hand to steal the rod off the zombie (the success described above goes by its passive perception of 8 assuming standard zombie). @FitzTheRuke you may of course decide to roll active perception.

In any case, zombie gets opportunity attack against Myrral (AC 14)

Use Feline Agility for 60' move
AI 29, steal and back to AF 29
Action: Sleight of hand to steal zombie rod: 1D20+6 = [3]+6 = 9

feel free to use climbing speed as needed if he runs up the wall or something to make a turn.

Myrral dashed across the floor and leaped on the tomb dwarf, trying to wrest the rod from the dead thing's grip. Unfortunately, the thing wasn't nearly as slow as a zombie, and it pulled the rod away and grabbed with its other hand for the tabaxi's tail.

OOC: Not a zombie, unfortunately for Myrral. Still, Myrral should have an easy time escaping the dc7 grapple attempt! (Please roll Acrobatics vs dc7.)

Yassah and the broodguards came down the stairs and began to spread out at the landing, while Dellrak took a position behind a pillar and loaded his crossbow. Ghorruk the orc rushed toward the dwarves in the south, brandishing his axe.

The undead dwarves reacted slowly to the intruders, they turned their heads and moaned while drawing battle-axes and began to defend their laboratory. They had an intelligence that made it clear that they were not zombies, and they appeared to be fully capable of using the weapons that they had held in life.

OOC: However, they were surprised and don't get to act until round 2. Which will be now. NPCs mostly dashed.
