D&D 5E (IC) Fitz's Folly

Chrysagon felt his life energies being drained by the creature in font of him, but his resolve resisted the pull before any major damage was done. Distracted, he unsuccessfully swung the glowing flail and had to focus for the next swing to connect on the dwarf.

Con Save against Life Drain: 1D20+6 = [14]+6 = 20 EDIT: Aura of Protection applies to Chrysagon too! Add +4 for a total of 24. :)
Action: Flail (Sacred Weapon) attack and damage: 1D20+10 = [3]+10 = 13
1D8+5 = [4]+5 = 9
1D20+10 = [13]+10 = 23
1D8+5 = [7]+5 = 12

I did not expect anything to happen when Chrysagon "commanded" the TDs. It was more for roleplaying purposes... :)

Chrysagon is at HP 38/52

Myrral hisses at the creature as his singed fur smell burns into his nostrils.
"Go get him Ussal! I'll keep you going." he slaps the armored back inspiring the snake-man to greater heights of focus.

He calls upon vitality of the world - in this unholy place it is probably them and the roots from above - and some of Ussals injuries disappear.
Retreating away from the rod carrying zombie he moves toward the most of the group to include them in the aura.

"Cryssagon, hold on, I'm coming soon!"

Action: cast aura of vitality
Bonus: heal Ussal for 2d6 @MetaVoid
Move: AF31

Ussal raises his shield quickly drawing a rune behind it and the shield draws lightning partly into itself and the armor hums with extra energy as lightning plays across the armoured body.

Sheer weight and length of the snake body removes any possibility to avoid the blast, but armor seems to be fine. The shield shown briefly as the blast hit it remains as a faint shimmer when Ussal moves.

He rears back, his height temporarily double over the dwarf as he crashes back down with a terrible downward swing of the arm encased in metal. With a dull thud that would leave most normal humans or even dwarves broken and bleeding on the floor, Ussal is suprised to see the creature still standing.

Chrysagon's flail showered sparks as it struck an undead dwarf. The one who had been confused by Chrysagon's command did not take long to join the fray. It shambled down the dais steps. Together, they swung axes at the paladin, getting him from both sides.

Yassah did his best to help, slashing at the things with his scimitars, but the wounds he delivered did not go deep. Dellrak, who had intended to get in there, decided to stay behind the pillar after he'd seen the lightning bolt. "Best ta nae get bunched up!" he thought, loading and firing his crossbow. The quarrel narrowly missed a dwarf's head and cracked against the wall. Dellrak cussed and began to reload.

OOC: Chrys did 12 to TD3 then got critted by both (!) for 29!; Yassah did 12 (5 after resistance) to TD3; Dellrak missed. More to come.

Myrral healed Ussal and dashed off to the middle of the room, sending soothing healing energy out toward the others.

Imogen tried to freeze the dwarf who held the rod, but she was still unused to her new cold powers. Weed bounced a rock off of its head, and Ussal smashed it with his metal fist. For a moment, Ussal thought that the creature would stay standing, but when he lifted his fist, lightning coursed through the dwarf and it fell, crumpled to the ground. Immediately, its corpse rotted, leaving a mound of filth and a cracked yawning devil mask. The rod clattered to the ground.

Ghorruk and Qawasha followed Imogen's direction. The Thayan orc pulled back, and the Chultan guide caused roots to grow from the ceiling, twisting and grabbing at the dwarves. One ducked under, and rushed up behind Myrral who was looking toward Chrysagon. The catfolk spun around too late, and was struck with an axe, but he managed to roll away as the dwarf opened its mouth to eat his life-force.

The other dwarf in Qawasha's entanglement hacked at the roots until it escaped, and it shambled past Ghorruk to reach for the rod...

OOC: Myrral healed Ussal for 6. Imogen did 2 cold & Weed did 5 & Ussal did 23 (& 4 lightning) to finish off TD1; Ghorruk retreats & Qawasha Entangles, which both dwarves escape, but one takes his action. Does Ussal or TD5 get the rod first? Initiative-off! Uh... Ussal needs to beat a 19. I suppose Myrral could rush in and get it (also must beat a 19 Init, plus he'd provoke if he doesn't disengage from TD4, who got him for 9.)

Initiative: 1D20 = [5] = 5
Ussal is too slow to recover, recoiling his body after that last slam and still a bit twitching from the lightning bolt. While his physical body may be slow, his mind works as fast as any mage's. And his people are naturally more advanced than these poor humanoids.

He reaches out with his mind, grasping the rod and depositing it in his hand. Moments after that gentle pull, he pushes out, blasting against the incoming dwarf.

Action: Mage hand from Telekinetic feat
Bonus: Shove TD 5, it needs to make Str DC 15 or be pushed away
Move: (assuming he got the rod) AH28 -> AG28 -> AG29 -> AG30

Miss Imgoen watches the corpse of one dwarf rot, as another reaches towards the rod that it had dropped. Seeing Ussal's eyes widen, she understands intuitively. She thinks, and an icy hand reaches out and grasps the rod from amidst the pile of rot. The hand lifts it up and deposits the rod into Ussal's hands.

The brave little vegepygmy runs up beside Miss Imogen, launches two stones, one of which hits, and then retreats back to Quawasha.

Meanwhile, in Qawasha's hand a flame appears, which as he steps forward leaps towards the foul dwarf in a graceful arc, but falls short, splashing at the creature's feet.

OOC: Imogen: init? 1d20+4=19. (woo?)
Mage hand vs Rod, carry to Ussal. (I'm not trying to Cancel Metavoid's actions here, but since Miss Imogen made the init, this seems okay? Possibly this leaves Ussal with an action? If it's not cool, please say so, and I can have her cast Frostbite instead.)

Weed: Initiative 1d20+2=13.
Move to AF30
Multiattack: First stone misses. 1d20+4=21, damage 1d4+2=6 (down to 3) bludgeoning.
Move to AC30.

Quawasha: Init 1d20+1=6.
Move to AD30
Produce Flame: 1d20+4=13. boo.

Ussal and the Tomb Dwarf reached for the rod as it scattered across the floor, its original holder rotting away. It was clear that the dwarf would get to it first. Imogen, across the room, saw that this would be the case, and she reached out with her magic, causing an icy hand to appear that swept up the rod and passed it to Ussal before the dwarf could get a solid grip.

To distract that dwarf, Weed hit it with a stone, while Qawasha's flame scattered at its feet.

OOC: So Ussal has the rod, but has only used his free "object interaction". If you want to change anything else about your turn, @MetaVoid (before I resolve the shove and give TD5 its Action) go ahead. Oh, and Weed did 3 to TD5.

Ussal is surprised when the rod moves even before he focused on it. Still, you don't look at the gifted snake's teeth to see if it is venomous.
That lightning bolt...he checks the rod for any trigger mechanism or written trigger phrase.

Bonus action: Shove as above
Action:
Investigation: 1D20+7 = [13]+7 = 20
OR (whatever's more appropriate)
Arcana: 1D20+4 = [1]+4 = 5 :( I should've just listed the modifier :)
