D&D 5E (IC) Fitz's Folly

OOC: Miss Imogen, audit.
In IC 2969 (last April!) she had 40/51 HP.
IC 2992 we had a short rest, but I didn't roll any dice.
In IC 3078 she took 22 points damage (18/51.)
Now we have another short rest. She'll start by takign second wind. 1d10+7=8. Yuk. 18+8=26.
spending half her dice. (3d10+1d6) to recover, plus 1d6 for song of rest = 17 +4 -- yeesh -- +4 for CON: 26+17+4=47/51 HP..

"Not az szuch, no. Jusht de memory of Igros." answered the face, with a grim expression, "But I can aid in de cashting of Necromancy, shud you need. It ish a tool, like any other."
 

As the group rested, whenever they made any noise (any at all) one or more of the terracotta warriors would slowly shift. Either to "look" over its shoulder toward them, or even to shuffle around to face their way, though they remained stone-faced and kneeling. This was particularly evident as Myrral played a soft song. Many of the nearby warriors shuffled around to face him, as if they were part of his audience.

Eventually Chrysagon moved to check on the soft glowing on the left (north) side of the cross-shaped tomb. There, he found Wizbang, chewing a bug, and looking at the glowing, sigil-laded magical circle inscribed in the floor.

"It's a teleportation circle, or I'm a frog." whispered Wizbang, and a nearby warrior shifted its head to face toward them.
 

Miss Imogen furrows her brow. A Teleportation Cricle would take them elsewhere -- possibly even to another plane, if the stories are true. She's never used one, of course, but steps forward. Ever onward... she thinks, hoping that there is no special word that is needed. Except:

No. The Curse has emanated from this place, here, in the bowels of this horrid and cruel structure.

"Our destination won't be at the other end of a Travel Circle," she whispers. "The Evil his here, in this place. I say we should look elsewhere."

"No. Not at all. We don't need help with Necromancy. But we and Zagmira were helping each other. We are in the Tomb of Shagambi. It is full of terracotta warriors. Is there anything you can tell us about it?"

Qawasha looked to Miss Imogen [@Kobold Stew ] to see if she'd found anything in Zagmira's journal to try to get an idea of what they could learn about her goals or about this room.

"The circles could bring us closer to our goal also. Perhaps the circles are just traps if we choose the wrong one. Perhaps they are all traps. What does that book say?"

Qawasha looked to Miss Imogen [@Kobold Stew ] to see if she'd found anything in Zagmira's journal to try to get an idea of what they could learn about her goals or about this room.

@Kobold Stew Qawasha gave Miss Imogen Zagmira's journal a few posts back.
"Or it may throw us deeper, past all the traps. A shortcut for the wizard."
 

Imogen crossed the room, with both Weed and Wizbang following her (at some point, Wizbang decided to climb onto the Vegepygmy's shoulder). They circled around the dais, with its foreboding sarcophagus, and continued to the south end of the cross, where they found another teleportation circle. This one had different patterns and glowed softly with a different hue.

"Just as bad, I'll bet!" whispered Wizbang, and nearby terracotta warriors turned their heads to "look" at him.
 

OOC: I think we have investigated each of the three circles now, and left the sarcophagus undisturbed. It's not clear to me from the map whether the room is closed (i.e. there are walls abutting the three circles) or if it goes on. I think there are walls, which if so means that we have a choice:
a. try to activate the teleportation circles
b. mess with the sarcophagus, likely aggravating the moving statues
c. leave this place and explore elsewhere (there are more places on this level, I'm sure).
Miss Imogen's preference is for c. but really, if anyone has a strong feeling, please say so now. Someone could cast detect magic, for example, but I suspect everything would glow.
