Combat A - Round 1 - Wrapup

Suldrel reacts with a surge of adrenaline. He lowers the tip of his spear in through the door and then thrusts downward at the goblin in the middle of the room, skewering him handily. "Who is next?" he asks grimly.

Goblin1 skewered by Sudrel slumps to the floor and drops the wooden tube to the floor. It ends up aimed east and fires a flaming pyrotechnic “candle” at the back wall. It explodes in a nice display. Some of the other goblins surge forward and Goblin4 swings at Sudrel but misses. Two from the back head out the side door and come around behind Sachiko. The elf has buried his spear deep enough into the first goblin that when he finds himself unable to extricate it in time to make anything but the most comical of attempts at skewering one of the approaching goblins. The elf is able to keep a grip on his weapon, luckily.

Sachiko whirls around as goblins burst in behind her. She grins ferally and her sword flashes as she steps in and stabs the first goblin as fast as he steps in the door! She opens a good size gash in the goblin's right arm.

Wireth cursed his slowness and his circumstances, having managed to pin himself between his allies with no clean path to help with the goblins. He looked back and forth between Sudrel on the one side and Sachiko on the other, then made a decision.
"You've got a good bottleneck here, Sudrel," he says, pointing to the hall. "If you take a step back, they're coming to you again, one at a time. I'm going to try to help your sister with the buggers who snuck around behind."
With that, Wireth squeezes past the small, spry human, gritting his teeth as he opens himself up to the goblin's blade in order to find enough room to swing his own. He takes his medicine, though, as it gives him the space to open the creature's chest with his blade. Luckily the small humanoid swings too wide and misses the half-orc. However it doesn't fair much better from Wireth's blow and collapses to the floor.

With his spear rendered impractical by close quarters fighting, Suldrel draws his dagger with one hand and attempts to bury it in the skull of his nearest adversary before taking a step to the south of the doorway. He is a bit apprehensive of allowing himself to be momentarily cut off from Sachiko and Wireth, but on the other hand it means the goblins cannot head through the door behind him for reinforcements.

OOC: Move action to draw dagger, Attack: 1d20+4=24, 1d4+3=5, Critical: 1d20+4=7, 1d4+3=5, 5' step south.

Seeing Fastus and Elsbeth looking to go in two different directions, Jariah says, "Let's stick together and deal with those two that are only knocked out first. I will be right back once Jakira is off helping the others."

She moved past Elsbeth and opened the next door, clearing the way for Jakira to head towards the sounds of battle in the other room.

The feline eidolon moved swiftly and made it all the way to the other hut and found the goblins harassing Sudrel. He told Jariah mentally what he saw and said aloud, "Ooo, you found more gobberrrrs!"

[sblock=Actions]Jariah moved to closed door and opened it with 2nd Move Action
Jakira double moved sicne I think the second door to reach the goblins was already opened.

Fastus finally got his door open, only to see a creaky bridge-thing leading to ANOTHER door!

"Oh for crying out LOUD!" Stymied by all these burning, incredibly hard to open GOBLIN DOORS, Fastus just gave up on them altogether.

Instead, when he got across the bridge-thing he reached up and pulled himself up on the low roof of the goblin house before continuing on his merry way, up the peak and down the valley on the other side.

Updated Map

[sblock=OOC]Taking10 on Climb.

I got to say, TS, if unlocked and unbarred doors were really this hard to open, castles would be surrounded by a sea of them. I'm thinking an unlocked door could be considered difficult terrain instead (2 squares of movement to open), very difficult at worst (3 squares)?[/sblock]

Sachiko gives Wireth a grin and a thumbs-up, then whirls to face the goblin who's aggression seems to have overcome his will to live. He jabs his spear at her, forcing her back once...twice...and finally she screams angrily at him and forgoes technique and just tries to hit the little critter as hard as she can!

[roll0] to hit, for [roll1] damage.

Wireth Norin, half-orc falconer

[sblock=ooc]Binder Fred, opening or closing a door is a Move action per RAW. It's explicitly one of the examples of a move action (link):

pfsrd.com said:
Moving or manipulating an item is usually a move action.

This includes retrieving or putting away a stored item, picking up an item, moving a heavy object, and opening a door

If TS were counting doors wrong, that would be one thing, but making folks burn move actions to open doors isn't a house rule or anything.[/sblock]

Wireth adds his own overhand swing to the assault on the final goblin in their room, slicing open the chest on the little beast with the menacing blade from one end of his double axe.

"These two snaked around here from somewhere," Wireth says, sliding past Sachiko to help distract Sudrel's opponent. "Think you can help find their back door?"

[sblock=ooc]attack vs goblin; two handed damage (1d20+5=18, 1d8+6=13)

Pretty sure that drops the other one. I don't think Wireth can get around to the back door with the move action he has left, so I'm moving him to give Sudrel a flanking bonus on his turn, insted. Sachi seems more suited to bounding up on walkways, anyway. ;)

Elsbeth hears a commotion coming from the other side of the compound.
"It sounds like more trouble. I'm going to check it out."
She turns and heads through the door heading west. Looking through the now open door into a hut she sees that it has numerous windows but is empty.

With Fastus taking down the last of the conscious goblins, Jariah gave her eidolon mental instructions. Jakira replied, “Yes, mistrrress.”
“Don’t let anyone eat these herrre.”

Goblin2 steps up to straddle his downed buddy and swings at Sachiko but misjudges the distance and swings short. Goblin4 steps through the doorway and swings at Sudrel but swings wide to the left. Goblin5 steps up to take the spot that Goblin4 vacated.

OOC: Counted the climb as difficult terrain so it took 2 points of movement. Hence the change of where you ended up.
