He's pretty sure they don't, come to think if it. "I thought they sunk them into the swamp and went back to rip off the 'mummified heads of their ancestors' or something (*)?" That's what he'd heard anyways. He shrugged: "They got interrupted though."

Or were in a burning hurry, just leaving the bones there in the middle of their frontyard and all...

* = Just watched a documentary on this in stone-aged tribes on the National Geographic's channel.

Glancing around the corner it looks like one of the buildings burned.

"Now we're talking!"

Fastus was eager to dive right into that - see if he could find any remaining fireworks maybe? - but will rein it in (with some difficulty ) if Elli and/or Jariah want to investigate the pond-bones first?

Wireth nods his thanks to the sharp ears on the elf, then raises and eyebrow to Sachko.

"Just in case it wasn't a goblin-only plague, mind if I go first? We're making enough noise by now that we aren't surprising anyone."

Then with a wink he adds, "Besides, our run in at the warden's house made it clear we're better off if I can take the hits so you can do the stabbing. I make a good target, in any case."

Wireth followed by Suldrel and Sachiko move through the door into the hut. It has numerous windows affording an excellent view of the surrounding area. Looking to the east you see a second hut that has similar windows.

Jariah and Jakira stayed with Elsbeth and Fastus as they moved towards the pond. Upon seeing the burned section of building and the blacksmith's enthusiasm for it, Jakira moved on past to check it out. "Rrright, what's overrr therrre?"

Jariah stayed behind Fastus to see if there was any reason to investigate the pond further.

The female summoner glanced at the pond and asked, "Anything of note? Otherwise let us continue on."

Wireth looks around at the small hut, then shrugs.

"This one's clear, at least." He points across to the other hut.

"So, we either go back out and try the other side, or--" here he jabs his thumb at the opposite door--"Look behind the next door." Wireth follows Sudrel's lead from before, placing his own pointed ear to the door and listening for anything on the other side.

The female summoner glanced at the pond and asked, "Anything of note? Otherwise let us continue on."

"Why DO you build a fence and then leave a huge hole in it?" inquired Fastus, but he was already gone, following the magical panther in: if Jakira could, then he could too, right?

He dived right in, moving burnt timber and peering under stuff, apparently entirely unconcerned about such petty concerns as soot and possible structural collapses.

OOC: How long ago was this fire burning and does he have a clue what caused it, TS? More importantly, what was this building for originally and are there any remaining fireworks anywhere?

"Can you smell anything good?" he asked the black cat-thing.

Jariah spots bones in the water, but she will need to get a but closer to determine anything about them.

Wireth listens at the door but hears nothing. It is as if the place is a ghost town.

Fastus believes it has been about a week since this house stopped burning. It appears to have been just another hut like the rest. What ever caused the fire it seems that the goblins were more interested in saving the attached walkway and not this hut. There is not much left of it to sift through.

Elsbeth move a little closer to the pond to try to get a better look at the bones. She was hesitant to actually enter the pond in case there was a giant monster lurking in the depths.

"There are some bones in the pond. Since there were lots of burned bodies in a possible bonfire, one of the goblins may have tried to dowse the fire by running into the pond. But, there should be more of a body instead of just bones. Unless there is a flesh eating creature hiding in the pond? I have the feeling something really bad happened here."

Jariah shrugged, "If something ate the flesh from its bones, then I am not too keen to find out more about it. As long as it stays in the pond and leaves us alone, I am fine with leaving it alone. Let's catch up to the others."

She followed after Fastus and Jakira as her black furred eidolon moved into the structure.

Jakira replied, "I no smell any gobberrrs yet. Can you open this doorrr?" he asked at the door inside the structure.
