Elsbeth continued to look around the area. With Fastus, Sachiko, and the large cat inside the hut it would be too crowded inside for her. It wasn't as if she was afraid of enclosed places, they just made her slightly uncomfortable.


"I'll help keep watch out here for any other of those creatures."

Suldrel glances at the stack of "muddy spheres" with distaste. Are those...

"Are ogres persons?" frowned Fastus in reply to the big cat. He'd always thought they were monsters too?

The question was a bit distracted though: he was busy counting 'trophies' in the orangy-red light of his improvised torch: "twenty-two, twenty-three... That's A LOT of victims!" he communicated with a sort of horrified awe.

The Soggy had done a lot more damage than he'd ever thought possible! "We should probably take these back to the village, right? See if anybody can recognize something from their missing loved ones?"


OOC: Unless somebody objects, Fastus will carefully pile the trophies together and put them together in his pack, in a separate sack. Anything of note on these, TS? Does he recognize any of it as something that belonged to somebody he knew (villagers or those three adventurers that recently disappeared in the swamp maybe)?

Jakira watched Fastus playing with muddy balls. He relayed his mistress’s comments. “She says ogrrres arrre giants an’ arrre sorrrt of people. But the Soggy Monsterrr was not an ogrrre.”

He looked curiously at the collection of muddy balls, a bit confused. “Whatch mean victims. Dose look like da crrreaturrre’s eggs iffin ya ask me.”

"Uh?" Fastus paused from his gathering of bloody scraps of clothing and armor from the twiggy walls. "These," he said, holding one up. "THESE are from the victims, cat."

OOC: Anything of note on these, TS? Does he recognize any of it as something that belonged to somebody he knew (villagers or those three adventurers that recently disappeared in the swamp maybe)?

You believe that these items could help in identifying the people if they indeed came from Sandpoint. You are not familiar enough with the people in question to identify them yourself. But loved ones would be more likely to be able to identify said individuals.

"All these people," says Sachiko softly. "I mean, I knew the Soggy Monster had been around for a long time, and you always heard stories about people disappearing in the swamps but...I don't know. It's different seeing all their things in one place like this." For once, she seemed to have no jokes to crack.

"We should break those eggs," she concluded abruptly with a hardness in her voice.

Elsbeth shifted nervously. She wasn't certain if there were more of those creatures around.

"Is everything alright in there?" she shouted towards the hut.

Jakira took a closer look at the mud balls. “Oh, I thought dey werrre eggs or sumthin.” He glanced at Sachiko because apparently the feline eidolon was not alone in thinking that.

He started poking around looking for anything else of interest, hoping to find something shiny or interesting.

Jariah was getting regular updates in her mental conversation with her eidolon and was standing next to Elsbeth calmly. At the other woman’s outburst, she said, “Everything is fine. You do not need to shout. They found some skulls or eggs and are dealing with them.”
