D&D 5E (IC) Rise of the Dracolich

Kalorn nodded. Well she can shoot...and I saw that void. No mere darkness spell that was. Sesto doesn't mind having a necromancer around?

And what about you?
he added.

"Ho. I don't like to talk about me, but if you insist..."

Lorenn kicked up and ran vertically on the mast before he back flipped to grab a hanging rope in mid air. Swinging over the deck, he swiftly draw his sword and pierced a net, getting out a fish brochette.

But when he swung back, a blow in the sails made him let go the rope and the Elf fell overboard.

Some sailers jumped on the parapet but Lorenn raised in the air. He was standing on his flying board, igniting his rapier with a burst of green flame.

"Me? I'm just Lorenn... Want some?" He asked Kalorn, taking a bite out of a grilled fish.

Mord glanced up at the word Necromancer, looking mildly annoyed at the word. He was about to say something before Lorenn made a display of himself. Then thought better of it and settled back. There would be time soon enough to talk to Kalorn about loose lips and to set the record straight.

"Ah... no., answered the sellsword, eyeing the spell-chared fish dubiously.

But thank you for the drink. I must rest now, he added, as he crossed his arms and lowered his head again.

He knew that within a short time he would be able to use the leg's magic again, unlike his few wizard's spells that took forever to regenerate. He never was down for long.

It was interesting that Lorenn had preferred to show off than answer. That too was a form of answer. The other elf seemed far more restrained.

Three hours later, the Frostskimmr passed the last of the Lizard Marsh's muddy islands and headed out to sea. The crew shipped their oars and set a large colourful square sail as they found the sea-breeze, and the ship assumed a northward course. Three-quarters of the crew began to make their beds among the rowing benches for the ship had no below-decks, other than storage. They rigged a tarp to protect the deck from the sea-spray and left the best spots for their guests.

Loklafd said, "We should spot Waterdeep around first light. The ship has more than enough stores to make Luskan without stopping, but if you have reason to make any landfalls, I can discuss it with the captain. Now, feel free to get some rest. It is customary on this ship for everyone aboard to take a shift rowing, but with this fine wind we should not need it before tomorrow."

Primus stretched his back, ended his Psionic Focus on psychic attacks and began focusing on his body once more. His body became fully awake, fueled by his psionic energy instead of needing traditional sleep.

While the others bedded down, Primus just quietly walked the small ship, watching the waters. (And if the walking becomes annoying, he will sit at the front, watching the waters for danger.)

Kalorn felt better - good as new. He then spent time cleaning and fixing his armor with magic, muttering and making arcane signs with the left and right hand. He didn't want to have to buy a new suit.

He got up when the ship reach the ocean - he had never seen it. It went on for ever, grey and empty. That suited him just fine.

He turned to Loklafd. I have not reason to stop in Waterdeep. We should make haste... but if we must stop, then we must.
He looked at the others questioningly.

He remembered Mulmaster in his youth. The roaming gangs, the beggars, the sneering rich. There was a reason he left. Cities.

(OOC: spend 2 hit dice hit dice on boat: 2D10+4 = [8, 7]+4 = 19 HP back to full, short rest powers restored. )

Alhana, never having been on a ship before, was very taken by the activities of the crew. She seemed content to keep to herself, unsure of her new companions.

Sesto made himself as comfortable as he could on this strange ship. He took up one of the allocated spots and tried to rest for a while. Healing Lorenn earlier had given him a bad headache but not worse than a bit of rest could fix. Well, Lorenn seemed to be in a good mood... jumping around like that!

Later, Sesto sat down next to Mord. Sesto hesitated before speaking. Your... uhm... guard, they seem quite capable to hold their own. Very useful. He paused. Err... where did you recruit them?

OOC: Spending 2 HD: 2D8+4 = [6, 5]+4 = 15 Howzat!!! Just what Sesto needed to regain full HP.

After looking at the sea for a while, Kalorn turned around and looked at the ship. The archer sat alone. Their last words had been of turnips and donkeys. This would not do.

He made his way towards Alhana, taking his time on the crowded deck. Sea legs he had not.

"That was some sharp shooting back there." He looked out at the sea again. "Some say it goes on forever. What do the elves say about the sea?"
