As you step forward the "stalactites" fall from the ceiling revealing a singular red eye three size of a plate and a set of sharp curved teeth on top looming towards you. Most of the things miss and begin to crawl away however Hrgach is struck on the way down. After their initial assault the creatures attempt to crawl away but are quickly mopped up, the fall damaging them selves as well.

The central stalagmite opens its eye and a single tentacle extends from it.

Galdar drops the bar and shoots at the "stalagmite" with his bow, then moves back into the corridor.

Ana recognizes this creature ahead is a Roper and must be injured as it is missing several tentacles, removing them will not harm the Roper as it can grow more but severing them is possible.

“Argh! Son of a--” And Hrgach trailed off into a string of Goblinoid curses as he was struck by one of the falling “stalactites”.

Hrgach drew his greatsword and pulled himself together before launching himself at the tentacled, one-eyed creature.
