Asha waves Ana away. She then turns to Thomas.
"Thomas my dear. We are just concerned for your safety. Strong Magic had to be used to trap Azgalan here. Breaking it could be dangerous. We wouldn't want you injured. While we attempt to figure out how to free him you can speak with Ana here. Tell her all you know about Azgalan and his imprisonment."
Asha smiles and waves Thomas over.

Thomas heads over to Ana looking very bewildered, the hissing in the room once again intensify but this time words are formed under the underlying ambient hiss"You cannot take him,he is mine, they cast him out abandoned him, I kept him alive me!"

“Yes, well, thanks for that and all,” Hrgach told the hissing voice. “Maybe it’s about time he went back to his family.” He shifted a bit to get between the boy and the orb. Frankly, he’d just rather kill the kid and be done with all of this, but humans were weak. They wouldn’t kill a child.

The black matter swirls around inside the orb smashing itself against the sides of its prison.

"Come along, Thomas," Ana says as she tries to steer him toward the door. (Assuming he exits the room and she get close enough to whisper to Balin) "Balin, do you think you can help him?"

Thomas is guided out side the room with some but not much resistance he is young and doing what adults tell him comes easily to him.
In response to Anas question Balin simply shrugs the halfling clearly hasn't got a clue what is even going on at this point.

“Heh,” Hrgach chuckled, eying the orb. “I think we pissed it off.”
As they led Thomas out of the room, Hrgach waited to be the last out. Then he shut the door as solidly and securely as he could. Hopefully that thing would stay buried down here forever.
“Okay, to the rope,” Hrgach said, heading for the ladder. “Kid should be light enough for the ladder, but keep the rope close, kid,” he told Thomas, sheathing his greatsword so he would be able to climb.
