The guide promptly leaps forward, ready to escort Adelia to wherever she means to go. The dwarf damsel jumps at the thought, and the impass is set, only to be rounded up by Arvana.

"Clearly this one won't cooperate. Neither should we want him to. He chooses to flag us and we're done. Go ahead. I'll keep Adelia safe and handle this fella." - she signals forward, staring at the traitor.


[Ok, I'm gonna need stealth tests from all of you guys. DC is on a 15 basis and you're yet again on a group skill roll - find one, find all. I have Morgrym already, let's see the others!]

Marius as usual takes the lead in this kind of thing and within couple of steps he is invisible in the shadows.

[roll0] - add 2 if he would benefit from darkness concealment (i.e. doesn't work against the drow, but works against elves and humans)
 

Hagadark advances, his senses used to darkness. His normally thin frame hulked out by mutagen is still agile enough to move quietly behind the monk.

The companions sneak towards the building, leaving the safety of the streets behind. Swiftly, they move towards the walls of the Long Return, hiding from the windows' line of sight. Heavy drapes keep outsiders from peeping inside, but at the same time grant the group some cover as they go across the stone pavement. Through the windows, the heavy smell of perfume and sweat comes mixed with the murky sounds of soft music. Distant moans reach the companions, suggesting that the brothel has a full crowd tonight.

The windows on the first store are barred with thick iron, but the second store holds unimpeded windows. Around the brothel and beyond the chariot, a small street opens up between it's closed door and a four-store tower, dug and build in wood and stone as part of the walls of the cave. The open door sheds light over the path, where an old rail can still be seen. There, four dwarven watchers stand guard, clearly answering to the commands of someone that just went past the passage and into the old mine. The decrepit man's cane can still be heard, moving further and further away while a crude male voice accompanies it.

Suddenly, the brothel's door opens up. A pair of guards -an armored dwarf and a burly man - drag two dwarven women out. The women seem scared, broken and beaten, even beyond their natural strength. The watchers move aside, allowing the women and their captors to move quickly into the tower.

Marius seems torn between helping the girls immediately and focusing on the knowledge. What is happening here? What is that creature? Even if they break this operation, they will be no closer to the solution if that creature simply finds some other low-life to lead the slavery ring.
"We should do something now, before they enter the tower if we will do it! But we can get back for them later, right? We need to see what that creature's doing here."

"If we want to see, now's the time," Shayuri points out, and she casts a spell. Concentrated flecks like fireflies form between her hands, and she compresses them closer together, and more, and closer, until there's a kind of 'ball' that looks nearly solid, but is formed entirely of those sparks of light.

She releases that sphere then, and it immediately shoots off like ice on hot water into the alleyway.

When it goes off, there's a hollow 'CRUMP' noise, and those sparks go EVERYWHERE with a blinding flash of light!

(Glitterdust, right in the middle of 'em all! DC 15 Will save or be blinded, and everyone in that area is covered with little glowy bits that stop them from getting visual concealment while the spell lasts)
 

"I don't think that is what he meant. Couldn't you just silence them? Everybody will see this!" grumbles Hagadark as he lobs one of his fizzling vials at the thugs, just as they pass the guards. He waits for the moment when they let the girls forward single file between the guards so they are all bunched together.
