The eye, encased in a thin layer of lead (or perhaps a magical substance which appeared to be lead) followed the movement of Mord, Udit, Sesto, and Zander as they watched it, sometimes quickly flitting between one or the other. It was hard to see it do it, the way it was encased in the dull substance, but it was watching them to be sure.

“Hmm. Lead. Lead blocks some magic. It could be that the moment we put the statue in, the lead will disappear and we will be subjected to whatever the eye does.” Pyrus said. “Perhaps we should be prepared for that.”

Maybe the alchemists has a sheet of lead which we can prop up in front of the eye... we will still be protected... Sesto thought and went back to check.

OOC: So is the lead moving around with the eyeball, or is the surface of the lead immobile but we can "feel" the eye underneath it? either way:

Udit said. "Uh... I've seen a lot of messed up things, and that's, us, like really messed up"

He then added "Lead is heavy and stuff, let me know if you need help"

Zander gulped as the eye fell on him. He got a knot in his stomach thinking about what might be watching him. "Can't we just poke it out?" he asked jabbing the air with his javelin for emphasis.

OOC: Ultimately you will have to try putting an idol in the niche, or try opening the door. Let me know if you'd like to try.

Udit said "Ok, uh... so did we get that sheet of lead? Once we get that, let's fix it in position, then use mage hand to put it in place in the order Sesto suggested. We don't have forever...."

"I don't have anything like a large amount of lead." said the Alchemist as he loaded a sack full of gold coins off of the dias, "I've got a cast iron pot, if that will help."

 

[Prickly Pear]

Hmmm... the cast iron pot could serve as a helmet for Udit when he fiddles with the door, Sesto mused and picking up some coins that the alchemist dropped.

SnorLoska chuckled at the thought of Udit with a pot on his head.

Sesto continued: Since we seem to be out any other ideas, I suggest we go with Zander's suggestion and place the idol of The Unseen Murderer in the alcove. Sesto looked around and asked for a volunteer.

Udit looks around. "ok, doesn't *anyone* have mage hand? Telekenemasis? Anyone?"
