Silhouette takes a look into the armory, then shakes her head. There was nothing there of interest to her. "I'm going to keep an eye on Armides," she says, then amends, "In case he needs help."

She hurries back to the door he'd gone out, but doesn't exit it herself. Rather she stays just inside, keeping it just open to peer out of... A well-placed spell might be just the thing in case Armides' skills aren't up to the task. Or if he thought to sell the others out at this vulnerable juncture.

Only one thing in that room caught his gaze. Many things in the room had a bit more shine to them, but that dullness came from experience, it was reliable. He walked toward the glaive, its wood stained a deep red, most recently from his own former captain, and he regretted that Blackerly would not be a part of its legacy. The Warden, however.

He sheathed the sword, it might come in handy, but with this he knew he could cut them all down. He felt the edge on the glaive, he always sharpened it after a battle, it felt off, but he would fix that. He claimed it before looking at the heavy mace. “Grumblejack. Would you like something to smash things with?” He grabbed the mace as well, offering it to the Ogre as he walked back toward the kitchen to wait for Armides.

Armides moves quietly to the corner (Stealth 27) and quickly peeks around while trying to make out the conversation (Perception 26) and holding his hand out to his companions indicating they should wait where they are for a moment. That's when he realizes that he wasn't followed as he expected...

[sblock=OOC]I've either misread or misunderstood. I thought we already checked the armory. I also thought we were all going to the Warden's tower (although a second read of Shayuri's post that begins 'Then let's just go' is making me think Silhouette meant 'go and escape the prison' rather than 'go to the tower'. It wasn't my intention to put my PC in a spot where everyone would be waiting for him and against the party plan. Once he sees and hears what is beyond the corner he'll return to the group.[/sblock]

(OOC - Yes, there was a point of confusion it seems. :) When people seemed resistant to Sil's idea for getting to the Warden, Silhouette suggested that we just ignore him and leave then, since he didn't stand directly in our path. And the party can't really follow you out there, because we'd be a bit exposed, and can't all pass as guards...which was one of the objections raised in the first place. :))
 

Armory:
Grumblejack shrugs. "Too small. Need something bigger." He tosses the heavy mace on the pile but Asseni grabs up the heavy mace and drops his makeshift mace.

Kitchen:
Silhouette makes her way to the kitchen and then peers out the cracked door.

Outside:
[sblock=Armides]Glancing around the corner Armides sees two guards in front of the entrance to the tower. He hears two guards talking.
Voice1: "What do you think the warden will do to Blackerly?"
Voice2: "No tellin'. It has been a long time since he missed the shift change."
Voice1: "It sounds like they are ready."
{Door opens}
Voice3: "Let us go see if we can track done the good sergeant, shall we?"
Several Voices Together: "Yes sir!"
Then Armides sees four men heading along the path going around the left of the building (it appears to be three guards and the warden).[/sblock]

Armides curses under his breath but then realizes that this could be just the break they needed to make their escape perfect. He wheels and rushes back to the kitchen door scrambling to alert his fellow escapees of the Warden's impending arrival.

"Quick! Get ready! The Warden is on the way here to the main door. Blackerly missed the change of the guard thanks to our escape." Armides grins a feral grin full of malicious glee. "The Warden expects to give Blackerly a dressing-down and is bringing three guards with him."

Before leaving the armory, Asseni grabs the light mace as well and the composite bow.

Kitchen:
About the time Armides returns to the kitchen, Vordahl, Asseni and Grumblejack make it there as well. Silhouette is already there. Armides believes that you have about 3 or 4 rounds before your guests will be coming through the front door.
 

Upon seeing Armides, Asseni hands him the light mace and the composite bow. "Found these in the armory and thought of you."

Armides is rather surprised but takes the bow and mace.

"Now, hurry! The Warden will be here in a few seconds and we need to be positioned so that when they come in we can block them from escaping and warning the rest of the compound."

Armides' tactical sense is a little weak and he hopes Vordahl will jump in with his military expertise.
