Silhouette silences the butterflies in her stomach and waits for the right moment, like always. If worst came to worst, she reasoned, it would be easy enough to flee during the battle and hide or use the prisoners to aid her escape, should things go badly.

(OOC - Assuming the Warden and guard are approaching from the north, which is how it looks, that arrangement should be fine.)
 


I am going to explain what happens in rounds so that you can tell me when you wish to strike. If you signal and then open the door to the office and door to the mess hall simultaneously then we will start the surprise round at that point. If you have other plans please let me know. Please let me know after which round you want to strike. Once Piston Honda has posted the time of the strike I will post the updated map and initiative order and we'll get on with combat.

Round A:
You hear the main doors open and people walking.
Voice: "Where are the guards?"

Round B:
You hear people walking, getting closer.
Voice: "Have they left their posts?"

Round C:
You hear people walking, getting closer.
Voice: "You! Head upstairs to see if they are up there!"

Round D:
You hear people walking, almost to the door. One of them has picked up his speed and has walked past your doors.
Voice: "Now maybe we can find the sergeant."

Round E:
You hear people stop at the door to the office and someone is knocking. The other one has gotten to the door to the cell blocks and is opening that door (at the end of the hall).
Voice: "Sergeant Blackerly! You are late for the guard shift change!"

Round F:
The people outside seem to be waiting for a response. The other one has opened the door and is heading up the stairs.
Voice: (silence)

Round G:
More waiting and walking by the other.
Voice: "Blackerly"?
 

When he hears the sound of footsteps heading away on the stairs (Round F), anticipating that whoever that is has only seconds before they discover the scene in the cell area. Vordahl nods to Asseni just before he slams a mighty fist sideways into the door before sliding down and grabbing the handle, throwing it open and shouting “Hit them now!” as he grasps his glaive with both hands, ready for the kill.
 

Surprise Round

All enemies are surprised. The two doors are open as well as the one to the south which opens south and hinges at the corner.

Armides holds his position until he hears Vordahl yell. Then he squeezes past Grumblejack, staying along the wall and hopefully outside the reach of any weapons the Warden or guards may carry. He stops in the hall between the guards and the entrance and draws back his bow.

Vordahl takes a step forward, slashing at the guard in the door with his glaive. “Out of my way.” He growls as he plunges the weapon into the guard, looking past him at the Warden.

Silhouette steps out behind the ogre's protective mass and casts a spell; wreathing herself in flickering twilight-hued bolts of lightning.

"It seems there's a bit of a problem, Warden," she taunts smugly. "It seems there's a prison break in progress. Be sure to tell Blackerly when you see him."

(OOC - Can't seem to manipulate the map from here. I'll fix asap. Moving 1 square diagonally South and East and casting Shock Shield.)
 

Surprise Round - Wrapup

Grumblejack charges the warden and hits him with a smash attack.

Armides holds his position until he hears Vordahl yell. Then he squeezes past Grumblejack, staying along the wall and hopefully outside the reach of any weapons the Warden or guards may carry. He stops in the hall between the guards and the entrance and draws back his bow

Asseni steps up while presenting his holy symbol and channels evil. This waches over the former prisoners with a healing effect. It also washes over the warden and guards with a nauseating effect. It appears that the only one effected is the one Vordahl hit.
