ICv2 has D&D in third place after Star Wars

I believe this is actually the second such report that has had Star Wars at #2.

And Morrus. If Dungeons and Dragons can't compete with Star Wars, because Star Wars is one of the biggest brands on the planet (though I don't think the RPG has ever been the most popular feature of that brand) then what does that say about Pathfinder?

Keep in mind that the hobby is experiencing a period of growth right now according to ICV2

This could also show how many people are playing older versions of D&D, which might explain what WotC decided to go with all of these reprints.

It says Pathfinder is currently the RPG with the strongest active hard copy production available for purchase. No big surprise there.

A relatively inactive production schedule for D&D can't keep up with an active production schedule for Pathfinder, nor a production schedule of a brand as large as Star Wars. Nothing of major of note.
