If you were an evil telepath, what would you mind switch into to live forever?

So let's say you're an evil NPC Psion (Telepath) with access to True Mind Switch. Let's say you wanted to live forever, and you can get a DC 30 or so on your True Mind Switch. What creature would you switch to that would a) be really survivable (Ex defensive abilities, high con) b) very long or indefinite life span (outsiders?) and c) Not make you stand out too freakishly. (Since you're a telepath, your bread and butter is dealing with other people, so something like a dragon might not be the best choice)

I'm thinking some sort of angel or other good outsider. Planetar seems like a good choice, but the whole being large green and bald kind of stands out.

Assuming I could find one, I would try to get an advanced war troll (base HD 12), awesome str and con, regen 9 (acid normal) , DR 5/adamantine, +14 natural armor, SR 20, and dazing blow ability.

Assuming you are looking at sheer survivability, this is spot on.

In order of least to most difficult: Elan, Genies, Succubi, Lillend, Trumpet Archon.

Any one of them is most likely to fail a check with only a few tries.
The Elan blends in with humanoids easily, but is comparatively a crunchy.
Genies are still able to blend in to an extent and they also get those nice SLAs
Succubi are low enough level to overpower their will save and you still get all those nice demon traits. Plus change self to blend in with all sorts of humanoids.
Lillend are essentially the same as Succubi but less likely to be murderized by passing adventurers being exemplars of Good and all.
Trumpet Archons are at the high end and might potentially resist on a 20 but are tougher with very nice SLAs and that Mount Celestia shine.

Dragons. :]

Okay, they aren't immortal. With offspring, the character can continue to use mind switch to sustain the awesome powers that come with being a dragon.

EDIT: Actually with the Dragon Ascendant prestige class (Draconomicon, pgs. 90-92) is worth noting. At the final level (12th) you gain the Immortality feature; you can no longer die from natural causes and you do not need to eat sleep or breathe. You are still subject to death from Massive Damage though.

On second thought

Find a paragon creature, like a Paragon battle troll with 5 levels in fighter.

Step 1
Find the troll. Maybe some high level divination will help here.

Step 2
Get it's SR way down. Wish and Miracle should be able to knock it down to the point where you can beat it.

Step 3
Lower it's Will save: Wish/Miracle/limited wish comes in handy.

Step 4
Bump up your save DC (overchannel, etc) and caster level

While your friends are distracting the creature (everyone should have protection from arrows and fly as well and maybe entropic shield) you can start to manifest true mind switch while hidden/invis (you should be able to fly too, since paragon creatures can see invis).

If all goes well you should have his SR down to a manageable level and he'll fail his save

Congrats, you've got a paragon battle troll body which is nigh indestructible. Huge SR, AC, +10 to all Saves, +15 to physical stats (above the impressive war troll stats), extra bonuses to attack and damage, fast healing 20 to go on top of regen 9, and max hit points + 12 extra HP per hit die (with the war troll stats that gives 639 HP with 17hd assuming 5 HD of fighter)

Slight problem:
You don't get the target's Supernatural or Spell-like abilities, just the Ex stuff. So if you use True Mind Switch with a Succubus, you don't get Alternate Form. If you Mind Switch with a Genie, you don't get the SLA's. Most the qualities you want, in fact, you don't get. After you Switch with a Gold Dragon, the Gold Dragon turns your body into something that can kill you (it keeps Alternate Form when you trade with it). Likewise, you keep your own Su and Sp abilities - If you're already an Elan, you keep your racial abilities to take an immediate action to reduce an injury, to get a save bonus, or to burn power points to sustain yourself for a day.

Regeneration is usually Ex, as is SR. Damage Reduction can go either way. These are the things you look for ... and even most of these you can duplicate with Psionic powers.

If you want to pass, you need to either arrange so that you've got access to shape changing abilities yourself (Expanded Knoweledge to cherry-pick from Egoist), or you find something that can pass already.

Oh, and Con doesn't much matter except for Fort saves - technically you keep your own Hit Points, regardless, after the switch.

Ah I never really messed around with Psionics, as a level 9 spell I figured it would be on par with Shapechange. Clearly a totally different beast we're dealing with. Have to go back through and look.
