Immortel: Looks good

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
Managed to find out a good bit about this one. For one thing, the actual writer of the comics directed and wrote the script for this. Looking over the website for the movie, while the CGI effects might come off a tad cheesy, the acting looks very guenine. Certainly think from the one review I read on IMDB that we might have something akin to Dune the mini series. Well maybe not that good but certainly interesting mixing Horus, the Egyptian Gods and New York in the future.

Actually, most of the cgi is quite good. A lot of green screen like Sin City. Only a couple of people/creatures look a little off. The backgrounds are marvelous.

Story-wise its ok, pretty much typical of a euro comic (think Heavy Metal circa '92.) It's been out here in the states for quite awhile now.

For other cgi fests of recent noise, check out Natural City (korean sci-fi with some borrowing from Blade Runner, and questionable main-character. Absolutely lovely backgrounds!) and Casshern (japanese revamp of an old anime, should be out soon on dvd, or maybe still in limited theatrical release.)
