Implications of Empowered Empathy

This was intended as a Race Feature for a custom race but it might just be a feat or a race specific feat (half elven perhaps?)

Empowered Empathy - powers which are normally triggered by damage to self or bloodied state of self can be triggered by damage / bloodied state (or death) in an ally or an innocent within sight (and 10 squares).

For some powers this may not be of much use (you can only avenge an attack against the ally if you can reach the enemy).

would this be too nasty or heaven forbid not worthwhile? ;-)

Either way, it's a bit too conditional I think. It may be over-powered in a small number of situations but usually it will just end up being useless.
I'd suggest doing something a little more generally useful.

a battlerager fighter could get a really large number of temporary hitpoints if his guys are taking hits.

The idea is for a racial feature for a race which is known for empathy and yes arrogance, perhaps in context.? The group diplomacy of half elves don't do it for me (the race is very close to half elven and I guess I am being picky) , this race has a subrace who are effectively inborn berzerkers who get trained like palidan battleragers with vengeance fire instead of radiant effects... probably just too specific.
