Okay, go here, and my opinion...Ray L. doesn't cut it. The very first opening scene shot, is of a LOTR look. Among the other actors in the film, I hope that they can pick it up.

And by the way, the trailer takes a longgggggggg time to load. So leave the browser of the Quicktime Player opened for a while *like for a hour or so*

But Uwe is not doing a Full PJ stint, most of the fight scenes, especially a big one in the forest, is all EXTRAS, no CGI. BUt then again, after watching it for a third time, ah...there is some homage to LOTR. Sneaky Boll.

I cannot wait to see this movie. Because Uwe Boll makes delightfully awful movies, and his take on a Lord of the Rings "homage" is going to be spectacular. Spectacularly laughably bad, sure, but spectacular nonetheless.

Demiurge out.

That is one word, I would not have associated with him. ;)

"Delightfully"? Really? The only delight I got out of House of the Dead was knowing I could change the channel, and then doing so.

And I own the the actual (non-MST3K'ed) DVD of Manos: Hands of Fate, so my tolerance for suckitude is way up there.

I am very weary of this one. Partly because of Uwe's track record, and partly because any time i hear or read about it, all I get are flashback to the 1st D&D movie.

See, I am trying not to go there...

Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, Burt Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies, Matthew Lillard, Kristanna Loken and Will Sanderson.

Hmm this cast actually looks great. Some maybe havent had a hit in a while but are interesting. It would be great for a gritty urban drama. But a medieval action pic. Meh.

Ive read somewhere on the interwebs that one of the reason that Uwe is or was able to get such easy funding for his terrible video game movies was that German law gave rich tax cuts for money that goes to movies that dont turn a profit. That may be apochryphal but..wow.

Ya know when movies where movies and video games were video games. Instead we have games trying to be 'cinematic' and the movies industry, too lazy to be original, stealing from video games. Just great.
