Incorporeal Undead Warlock

This is just a random thought. But anything with sentient can take class levels right? And while Invocation needs Somatic and Verbal components, Warlocks do not need material components or focuses. So, Warlock seem to be a good choice for some incorporeal undead monsters.

Now I am thinking about Cursed Spirit (Miniatures Handbook). They speak and have at least arms and hands. Do you guys think those are enough for using invocations?

It could make an interesting opponent I guess.

I was under the impression that invocations were somatic component only, but i could be wrong. Anyone confirm this?

Sure, very nice for undead who traditionally only have melee attacks. Unfortunately, these undead don't usually have any magic items, so the Warlock's big versatility trick fails for them.

I find that undead make excellent Psions.

Technically, you don't need arm-like appendages to perform somatic gestures, just so long as you have limbs free. That makes Warlock a good choice for awakened animals.
