Information on Sessrendale (The Dead Dale)

Can anyone give me any information, besides what's in the FR campaign setting about Sessrendale. Wether it's from editions before 3.0, novels, anything offical really. I'm gonna use it's history in an upcoming campaign, and I dont want to contradict anything the player's might know.

So if ya picked anything up, help me out.

The best information is found in FRS1 - The Dalelands, a 2e product by Rich Baker.

Both sources mentioned above are the best. You would do well to get both of them:

adventure wise.. see if you can find the Randal Morn/sword of the dales/ spiderhaunt series.

and the shadow of the avatar series of novels.

I have no access to 2E modules, but let me just ask this. Was the history of Sassrendale ever particuarlly expanded upon, or should I be able to make it up as I go?
