Insane Arcane Archer Bows

In our current campaign, a high-level (10th?) arcane archer claims that the BEST bonus from either bow or arrow applies to both attack rolls and damage.

If so, this implies that the archer can buy a magic bow with a +1 enhancement bonus and +9 in additional abilities, and still gain +5 to hit and damage PLUS all the extras. Is this correct?

Yep. Be glad it's not 3.0, where they stacked- a +5 bow and +5 arrows gave +10 to-hit and damage.

Another vote for yes. The poor arcane archer gets precious little else of use, to be honest.

Not sure he needs much else

I had an Arcane Archer/Order of the Bow in my party and he ruled the battlefield. So what if he doesn't get much else he could out damage everyone in the party....and at range!

Yes, that's correct.

However, the same thing is possible with greater magic weapon, though. Take a +1 bow with +9 in thingies, drop a CL 20 GMW, and get a +5 bow with +9 in thingies. Arcane Archer just gets the same thing a bit faster.
