Loosh looks dubious at the idea of living with trogs, but he shrugs and picks up his boarding pike, getting ready to leave he says, "Maybe that's for the best. We'll go look for them and let them decide if we have to kill 'em or not."

As the group neared the mouth of the cave they heard the pounding of heavy rain on the roof, and noticed the dirt around that entrance had turned to mud. The rain was coming down heavy, and their visibility was cut to around 100 feet but there was no wind, and almost nothing could be heard over the rain.

In the dirt, which was rapidly giving way to mud were three sets of footprints that headed towards the woods. As the group approached the edge of the woods they could hear voices that sound much like the voices of troglodytes from not far into the woods.

"That way." whispered Loosh as he pointed his boarding pike in the indicated direction. He was proud of himself for being useful, but worried that they would find the trogs already speaking to agents of the Iron Legion.

Lal gave Flint a beafitic smile at the suggestion, and felt at peace. Committing evil to do good was a dangerous road.

He followed Loosh but raised an arm when he heard the voices, and glanced at Corsa, and wispered

"We shouldn't surprise the creatures, but we should know what we are getting into... can you take a look?"

Taking up the back Harb fell a few feet behind the group, not simply to put space between the noise his armor makes and what ever dangers might be ahead, or simply to guard the groups flanks, but also, if truth be told, because he wasn't comfortable with this dirty business and wanted to prolong it just a few seconds longer...

When the group heard the noises in front of them he stopped, making a point to not yet draw his sword. He takes a deep breath and holds it, nervous about what is about to happen.

As the group got closer to the troglodytes they could see the three of them in a small clearing amongst the heavy trees and bushes. One was standing up using a rock to try to hammer a crooked tree branch into the ground while the other two were on the ground yelling at each other as they apparently tried to weave some bushes together to create a makeshift shelter.

It was readily apparent that the troglodytes had no idea what they were doing.

OOC: Man, I keep feeling sorry for them, but we should really hit them without warning...

The old pirate in Loosh wanted to murder these creatures before they could react, but he was trying to be a better man these days. He looked to the others for what should be done, his inner conflict clear on his face.

Flint looks sympathetic. Smelly but harmless things, well, compared to his magical might obviously.

The dwarf hands Loosh his greataxe, then walks up to the troglodytes with empty hands, palms up. He walks slowly and cautiously, not wanting to scare them away or start a fight. When the dwarf has the creatures' attention, he points to them, and then to the cave entrance.

Upon a whim, Flint decides to create a simple magical illusion, of a crudely shaped troglodyte finding shelter in a cave next to a cave with a dwarf in it. The image is in bright blue hues and is only 10 inches or so, obviously not harmful to anyone.

OOC: Prestidigitation can do that, right?

The troglodytes pull away from Flint’s image at first amazed by the little blue illusion, they watch for a moment before they nod their heads and head back towards the caves.

GM:
Given enough time as castings I think you could pull something like that off.

We can keep RPing this out if the group wants or we can jump ahead two days and have the villiagers join you in the caves and have you all level up. Up to you.
