As Giana opens the door she sees tiny, intricate carvings lining the walls of this room, forming great columns of text. Much of it has cracked and crumbled and the entire southern wall is fractured with a yawning cavern beyond.

As Giana studies the carvings on the wall she notices that the carvings are in an old language but Giana is able to piece together the meaning. The text describes how to open the puzzle door, but not where the puzzle door is. It says to pray at the feet of the Excavator and, “grandmother, in seeking the Excavator, turned her eyes to the Stone, and to the Steel, and finally to Woe”

There does not appear to be anything else in the room but their is an open passage way to the room to the south.

"what a peculiar riddle" - we will have to keep our eyes open. Thank you Giana, some of the characters were completely foreign to me"

"Shall we?"

OOC: Does Lal remember any specific fact about that legend?

Harb Halfelf Paladin

"Interesting, some kind of secret door?" Harb says scratching his cheek with his thumb.

OOC: Does any of that match up with the pictures on the walls of the first room that we were in?
Since no one mentioned wanting it I'm going to add the +1 long sword to Harbs sheet.
