is a natural 20 always a threat and other question

Ok I know that a natural 20 is always a hit and natural 1 is always a miss, but this question pertains to monster attacks and maybe even traps. What I am looking for is the attacks of creatures and traps if they hit with a "20" is it considered a threat then a crit(X2 damage) if they hit again?

The other question I have is there anything now they you have to have magic weapons to hit them? I see that most everything is damage reduction eg. 15/+1 so you need a +1 weapon to do full damage and if not you must make over 15 damage to even hurt the creature if I am correct about this. I am just wondering becuase it used to be that you could not even hurt a Iron Golem if you had less than +3 weapon and now you can, but of course it is 50/+3 damage reduction so I can see it being VERY HARD to kill it with weapons.

Anyhoo just wondered about both.

Unless otherwise stated, a monster threatens a crit on a nat 20 and they deal x2 damage.

No. They dropped this and replaced it with DR for a reason. It sucked. ;)
