Is anybody buying from magiccardsandgames.com?

I just called to Japan Post and found that neither they nor Japan Custom have not yet recognized the packages. The packages are still in somewhere between USA and Japan. Hmmmm....

I'm not particularly sure how it works, and I'm loathe to call the person I know would know, but...

I don't know if you're from the US or not, but the 23rd was a holiday here. I'm relatively willing to bet that it did not in actuality get sent that day, since government offices (including USPS) are closed that day. The USPS does do sorting that day, but mail does not get sent... so it probably got put on a pallette to get shipped. It probably got sent Friday at the earliest.

Like I said though, I'm not sure if there's an exception for air-mail.

Also, with Christmas coming, shipping during this time generally does take a bit longer due to volume. It's possible that it has been held up at a warehouse somewhere.

If you can, try contacting the USPS directly and asking them. I've found that tracking sites generally aren't updated until the end of the day, after everything has been delivered and trucks have returned to their home base. At least, UPS and FedEx work that way, so I assume USPS does as well.

I tried to send an e-mail to USPS. They are using mail form. But their form demand me to enter Zip cord. And Japanese cord is completely different from US zip cord and thus, I could not use that form. I sent a mail to the shop and asked if they can check from their side.

The customs form should have a tracking number. If they kept a copy of it they should be able to give you the number. USPS takes several days to ship overseas. I would use FedEx or UPS for international if I had a choice. Airmail is faster than surface. Encourage them to provide future customers with tracking information.

I've had a package from Hong Kong show up within a week from when I paid for it. Got it quicker than I thought.

How was it sent? It all really depends on how lazy the people are in delivering it. The seller could have wasted time. The postman could have taken 1 too many coffee breaks. The customes guy could have wanted to play with it(assuming it was something to play with).

Thank you guys. The packages are finally delivered. It took almost a month (I have ordered them on November 13th.). It seems the USPS is rather slow. Especially in this season.

Glad they got to you ok. Out of interest, how much does a case of DDM's cost in US dollars to ship to Japan?

I order RPG stuff online through Noble Knight Games. I get it sent via sea mail and I know that the anxious wait for it to arrive can be horrible. So far the packages have taken between 7 and 13 weeks to arrive here in Australia.

The last lot I ordered took 13 weeks. Prior to that the longest one had taken was 10 weeks. From weeks 10 to 13 I was fretting quite a bit, worried that it had got lost in transit. I was even more worried than normal since the order was over $500 US and I didn't have any insurance. All's well that ends well though. In case anyone is interested I would thoroughly reccommend Noble Knight Games. Great service and great prices every time in my experience.

I bought 4 cases (12 boosters each) and the shipping cost was $80.35 via U.S. Postal Service Global Airmail Parcel Post.

Before that, the shop's suggested shipping method for oversea order was UPS Expedited or USPS Global EMS. And I was always getting the packages within a week.

When I bought 10 cases of WotDQ huge packs, the shipping fee was $250.83 and it was UPS Expedited.

When I ordered 6 Cases of War Drums Boosters, 1 Case of war Drums Starter & 1 AT-ST, the shipping fee was $175.68 and it was UPS Expedited.

When I ordered 6 Cases of Underdark boosters, the shipping fee was $125.88 and it was USPS Global EMS.

I live in Okinawa and unless I make sure they send things priority mail from the States, it always takes a month for a package to get to me and sometimes up to 2 months or more :\ . Thus, I usually will spend the extra for shipping charges.
