Is ENWorld slowing down?

I don't mena server wise, I mean traffic wise. Maybe I'm surfing more than I used to, but it just seems a bit like there isn't as much traffic as there used to be.

Anyone else getting that impression? Or am I mad? :uhoh:

Quite the reverse, actually. We track the last six months of activity; take a look at the number of new threads started by month. March had something like 550 more threads than average started - a remarkable increase. I believe that it is from increased traffic being driven by the news page, now that hot messageboard topics are listed next to the news.

But are the new threads actually stimulating discussion? Or are they dying after a few posts?

O ye of little faith. There was a 20% surge in the number of posts, too... nearly 10,000 more posts than average last month. That's remarkable growth. I'm not sure, but that's probably the best metric for measuring activity, isn't it?

Well, perceptions are often wrong I guess! Thanks for the stats PC...

BTW what was going on in August last year? Both images show that we're half way to reaching august's levels already in April!

Perhaps they didn't start tracking it until late in the month, so it's really just part of Augusts total.
