D&D 5E Is there a magic point system still in the DMG?

Easy to do; just give the slots a point value, make higher level spells cost more points, and allow spells to be powers up when more points are used. Maybe some other balancing factors.

One, maybe two paragraphs. The slot system is already spell points by stealth.

I know how the system works but slots can be traded as points as written, which is why I wanted to know if there was an official one. I can homebrew all day but I enjoy official things.

Also thanks Jester for the link.

Niko in the "answering questions about the DMG" confirmed there was a spell point system. Something about a level 20 caster having 133 points, but still being limited to one spell per day of level 6 and above spells.
