Is there going to be a vBulletin upgrade?

I have been assuming you (Russ) were working towards making a switch to the new version of vBulletin (4.0) for the boards, but with some of the changes going on, I'm not as sure anymore.

I assume you will not stay on the current version forever, but many of the changes that have occurred would seem (at least to me) to have been best done after a forum upgrade (or would have been covered entirely in an upgrade).

I'm sure I am missing something - it's not an assumption that things are being done incorrectly or anything, I'm just curious what the plan is as far as version upgrades are concerned (vBulletin 4.0 is nice, which is spurring the question as well)

No, we decided against the upgrade because it would involve too much lost customised functionality. We decided to stick with and continue to develop the current code base.
