Is this feat balanced?

I'd also make it only applicable to large or two-handed weapons

(sorry but I can't envision a rogue knocking back an opponent with a measly little dagger.)

That's a good point. Limit it to only weapons that are larger then you. Thus a meduim sized creature could only do it with large weapons.

Should not the size of the opponent matter more... A greatsword (L) is not going to push back a Dragon (G). I would think that the size of the weapon should be equal or larger than the opponent. A dagger could knock back a pixie, and I could see a greatsword knocking back a troll.

Another good point. That restriction can replace the weapon size restriction above as he suggested.

Ahh yes, a much better take on what I was originally thinking. Also I would allow the sneak attack damage to work towards the "knockback" effect but not the extra for "flaming/frost/etc..."

For a little added realism, I might vary the damage needed based on size as well. Using Table 3-8: Massive damage based on size, in Core Rulebook II, you can extrapolate that your requirement would be about 40% of those numbers: 20 hp for medium-sized, 16 hp for small, and 24 hp for large.

Also check out the Varient: Clobbered on page 66 Core Rulebook II.

I hope some of this helps.
