Mina's arrow soars through the air, over the heads of her companions, Mina's arrow strikes true, [sblock=Mirror Image] _: 1D20 = [10] = 10
[/sblock]again hitting the mage and not the illusion. The arrow makes a loud 'thunk' upon entering his ribcage. The crazy mage grits his teeth as he continues on with concentration, but he looks a little dead on his feet.

Isaac knows how crucial it is to take this mage down. With a surge of adrenaline, he powers through the battlefield at twice his usual speed, leaping at the mage with a shriek. [sblock=Mirror Image]_: 1D20 = [7] = 7[/sblock].

The mages eyes open wide, for a moment the yellow embers bulge in his head as he tries to scream aloud, but nothing comes. You see, at this point the mages thinking sort of... Slowed down, he could see Isaac posed in front with a blade in front of him and the swish of his steel in a clear cut from his right to his left shoulder. Then the mage began to float up, up higher and higher, its vision looking to the night sky. Then, suddenly, he tilted and turned face. Heading back towards the ground, the goblin mage saw something that didn't make sense. It saw its own body, collapsing in front of Isaac in slow motion, the Halfling letting out a mighty cheer! So the mage realised it must have ascended to godhood! It would come down and bring swift vengeance to its enemies! It Would break their bones! It would bleed them dry! It wou-

'THWACK', with a mighty bellow, Alejandro swung his flail and struck at the now severed head of the now headless mage. As it was falling in mid-air, it had a big stupid grin on its face, which just for a microsecond, turned once again to a look of horror as it realised the truth of what had happened.

With that, the enlarged goblins shrank back to their usual size, howling in anger. Each continued their attacks in blind rage. One on Tro'Leera, one on Shen and the last moves up to attack Alejandro.

Tro'Leera tried swinging at one, but he missed as it dodged to the side [sblock=Troops attack]_: 1D20+0 = [11]+0 = 11

But once again, Tro'Leera leapt out of the way.

The same could not be said for Shen however, who received a big slashing wound right down the front. Barely able to stand, she could see her vision blur momentarily from the shock and the loss of blood. The little goblin was chittering in front of her in glee!

Alejandro also took a hit, though not nearly as badly, especially considering the fact that he was raging

With a series of more panicked barks, the dozen or so goblins are still apparently trying to climb the wall; they know their prey is escaping.

[sblock=Round 3]Three goblins are left engaged with the party. Now with the right rolls, if the right people kill the gobs remaining, the others can run. Nearly there everyone! Good work![/sblock]

Daedarai jaw went slack as he heard a rage-filled cry approaching through the air, and looking to the side, he saw Alejandro hurtling through the air kicking his legs and waving the Testiculator wildly. He had not known the gnome long and the moment was brief, but he was pretty sure that it was the happiest that he had ever seen him. An arrow followed the gnome towards the mage and then Isaac sprinted past. It was a jumble of dust as Alejandro landed and he couldn't make out what happened, but the towering goblins bellowed in rage as their limbs shrank a moment before their muscles and they found themselves returned to their normal size. In unison, the two reduced goblins charged towards the shaman.

The sand kicked up from Alejandro's leaping attack began to drift away and settle as the goblins charged. The two fighters met the charge well, but the remaining third goblin had sprinted towards Shen. The horrific creature slashed her deep and he could see her blood spray on the sand as it laughed in sadistic glee. Concern washed over him and he shouted, “Shen!” as he fired at her attacker.

[SBLOCK=Rolls]Attack w/ Shortbow Round Three: 1D20+5 = [14]+5 = 19

Daedarai would move towards Shen after the shot for support. He can't actually do anything, but it's the thought that counts, right? If nothing else, I might provide a different target. Cunning Action for Dash if needed, but I don't think it is yet. [/SBLOCK]

Alejandro grins a terrible grin at the sight of the falling head, bellowing "six!" As he whacks it, remembering his childhood games of cricket with his father. With that memory, he grows angrier yet. How could they have been taken from him?

He screams right in the nearest Goblin face

And swings his morning star with all his might at the goblins groin.

Mina's eyes widened at the amount of blood that Shen was losing. While she was a bit out of breath from their desperate running battle, Mina managed to sing out a single trilling phrase- if her voice before had been stirring, this was purely magical... She hesitated for just a moment as she drew another arrow, which threw her aim off just a fraction. Once the shot was on its way, she gave a worried glance towards their pursuers and tried to move forward...

[sblock= OOC] Bonus action to cast Healing Word on Shen, 1d4+3= 5 HP healed; roll http://www.coyotecode.net/roll/lookup.php?rollid=105158 . Then very conditional actions: If the goblin by Shen is still standing, target that one- if not, target the one by Alejandro. Short bow attack 1d20+5= 16, base damage 1d6+3= 7, sneak attack adds 1d6= 6; rolls http://www.coyotecode.net/roll/lookup.php?rollid=105157 . Then, if there is a clear path, she will move forward as much as possible without moving into range of any surviving goblins. [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]one goblin left now, the one next to Al, so if either Iaac or Shen do decent damage to it, you're home free! Next stop, Moria...[/sblock]

It almost surprises Shen herself that she's still standing. Shaky as they are, somehow her legs stay locked upright and moving. Keeping in motion isn't hard, but she knows if she stops, she'll probably melt into a puddle and never move again; kind of like her insides are doing now in the sand around her. But with Han over there now, at least no one is between her and the jaws of the horde. If she has enough energy to hold off the tide, the others will be home free.

She can hear someone singing. What a strange time to do a thing like that...maybe it's just in her head. The melody reverberates between here ears, and she can almost feel it vibrating down her spine and dulling some of the pain. She looks to the sky; the moon is the one thing that's the same here as anywhere else, one point of precious familiarity in a sea of monsters and evil whispers. Some kind of bird seems to fly acoss the pale circle, probably a vulture or something. She wishes Donut was here.

"Shen!" The elf snaps out of it. Daedarai?

"Wha," she blurts out, "what're you doin'!? Leave me behind, focus on the---" Oh, there's, like, one goblin over there. "...holy cow, we're gonna make it! What are you waitin' for?"

Shen drags her halberd tip out of the sand and runs away from the pit, toward the last remaining obstacle and to safety. She can barely lift the stupid thing and get it pointed right, but the promise of escape and Mina's words draw out just enough strength to straighten it out before the filthy gob can attack someone else. "Anemoneeeee!"

With a mighty scream, Tro'Leera sprints forward, realising he had been hitting the goblin with the blunt end before, this time he gets it right! With a 'Thunk', he rams the green glowing goblin guts on the tip of the Javelin hard into the goblins stomach, the goblin frothing at the mouth as a result. Wrenching the javelin out, he grits his teeth and yells "I'D REALLY LIKE TO GO HOME
NOW"! With that, Isaac bring his two blades around and opens a slit in the goblin's stomach, it's contents spilling to the ground as the goblin keels over. With that, Tro'Leera cocks his head, frowns and nods in satisfaction and starts running forward with everyone else.

I made a decision for this to be the finishing move. The reality is, if you guys hadn't killed it this round, you would have next round. The goblin could have downed Shen maybe, but she would have been healed by Mina and one of you would have then hit it again.[/sblock]

With a swiftness backed by the desert winds, our companions ran, the crazy goblins pursuing for a short time, before their intelligence pulled them back on realising their numbers were dwindling as the ranged attacks from the party began to pick them off. Furthermore, the warm glow of the sun for told sunrise in only about 20 minutes. Sand goblins HATED the sun. Alejandro had shouldered the
Belongings of the mage and was carrying it along for the potential loot.

Finally, the party got back to the crates and the dugout. Daedarai took a bullseye lantern out from one of the crates as instructed and lit it up without any time to lose. With that he sent out the signal to the thieves guild members, waiting and hoping they were still around. Sure enough, he was quite relieved at receiving the confirmation of flashes sent in return, though they WERE coming from significantly further away, closer to the city. The party had made it just in time, or they would have had to make their own way back and break into the city. "Phew", with a sigh, he turned off the lantern.

With that, the party tended to their wounds as best they could until they were extracted. Eventually they made their way briefly to Tro'Leeras' for his medicine, then back to the guild ship, where they could barely stay awake as their heads hit the pillows.

^^^LEVEL UP^^^

LONG REST ACHIEVED

[sblock=OOC]Congratulations all! Will tell you about loot later. For now... Sleep time :)[/sblock]
