Sorry to interrupt the hunt! I'll make it brief and then you guys can get back to it. Just one request though, please don't do this 'Deliverance' style, ok? Not even if you polymorph him into a pig first!

How about using a Miracle (or even a Wish) to add Lightning Bolt to your spell list. I'm sure that certain deities wouldn't mind this.

Pending DM approval, now that it's on your list, you can cast it, or use items that require it.

Just an idea.

I know a way how a cleric could cast the spell lightning bolt... well... technically...

Let a wizard use magic jar to overtake the cleric's body and then cast lightning bolt!

Ok, it's actually the wizard casting the spell, but seriously, who can tell the difference?
