Re-watching Generation Kill at the moment.
Random fantasy movies on Netflix:
Time Bandits: classic, and uses real dwarfs, not CGI- I feel like there should be a certification label for that, like 'Made in the USA'.
Labyrinth: Solid fairy tale-like plot, interesting to see it as an older person and recognize the coming-of-age themes more clearly- I was six when I saw it the first time, and most of what I remember was that the scene where the goblins steal the kid and the old junk lady scared the bejesus out of me.
Black Death: Very grim- like a film version of a WFRP adventure, but good sets and costumes and always comforting to see Sean Bean being killed while wearing chainmail. Plot was a little uneven to me, but a solid entry in the Flesh + Blood tradition of amoral medieval films.
