I think domains are basically Spell Pools. The cleric preps a specific # of spells / day from those pools and then spontaneously casts from the prepped list.
I expect we'll see custom pools / domains made up by players from the spells published.
To me, that's not bad at all. They still are only going to prep a small number. It's the spontaneous casting that I don't care for, but how hard is that to house rule out?
