Kindle or e-reader work for 4e pdfs?

This is awesome. Thank you. I'll get this ASAP.

I'll second this app. Though my ipod touch chokes & locks up on the larger books (such as the PHB), it handles smaller .pdfs (such as Dragon magazine) just fine.

Also, I, too would sacrifice goats and virgins* for a DDI iphone/ipod app. Sorry, Scott, but I can't offer the firstborn name up 'cause I already have three kids.

*OK, heck, I'd probably sacrifice 'em just for fun, but I think you get my point.

Kindle uses a proprietary file format that requires us to have an agreement with Amazon to have distribution on, so the answer is no.

I think this is the same for Sony's E-reader.

Neither platform can handle color or images

negatory on both.

My wife owns the Sony E-reader. You can directly transfer pdfs to the e-reader over USB (it mounts as a USB drive in windows).

The Kindle requires you to "mail" the file to the kindle's magic email address. (I researched both before we bought Sony's device).

Both devices are black and white (sony's is like 8 tone grey scale). Their PDF rendering varies, depending on how the file was layed out.

I have Stanza on my iPhone that also supposedly supports PDF. Stanza is a free e-book reader in the appstore.
