Kinkos vs OfficeMax

Has anyone had any luck getting office max to print pdfs? Officemax here used to do it, but a little over a year ago stopped alltogether.

I hear all these stories of how easy it is at kinkos, but the nearest one of those to me is on the other side of the state.

How about smaller, local printing services? Has anyone had any luck with those?

I am not sure what an Office Max is, but I go to Office Depot locally. I have no problems getting PDF's printed. Then again, I have to get alot of printing done for business, and often we PDF our files as well.

I'm not entierly certain what they are in terms of a corporate entity, I've never really cared, but I suspect they are linked to wall-mart in some way... They always seem to crop up in the same place as Wall-Mart stores, kinda like Home Depot does.

I don't know about the Home Depot connection. I've got two that are really close to where I live (one is the Virginia one where the DC Sniper shot one of his victims... I don't go to that one much) but there are NO Wal-Marts anywhere nearby. I'd have to drive about 30-45 minutes to get to the nearest one.

I've gotten my local print shop to do it. They did a bang-up job pretty affordably. Best bet is to call and ask. They're either set up to do such things or they're not.

Kinkos is totally broken. I mean, 24 hour service!!! Who can compete with that!?

My local Kinkos was great. The raised the question of copyright, but I simply told them that I purchased the pdf. directly from the company and would gladly get a note/email verifying this. No problems whatsoever.
