Kulan: Knightfall's Crisis in Bluffside Game [OOC]

Sobla earned her part and Custodio had a pick of items.
If Vinny got money from the first part to be in line with others he should keep it.
The rest...equal parts or we split so that it's more toward equality in total value?

We should also take some money aside for healing wands, vigor or clw at a minimum, lesser restoration if everyone agrees

Split toward equality - since the choices weren't of the same value, this will help (but everyone should have some liquid assets).
I agree to share part of the money for healing sticks
I bought a wand of CLW with my starting cash but I agree that we should have more than one.

For treasure allocation (just my 2cents):

In general, I think gems should be liquidated for cash unless they can be used for spell components.

All coins should be split evenly. Items that will get used for the group such as gems for Raise dead, wands of curing and basic healing potions should come out of a group share. What I’ve done with some groups is create an extra share (so if there are 5 members of the group, split all liquid cash 6 ways) with the last share being the group share to buy things that benefit us all collectively.

Agreed. That's why I had the coins "I" gave her put back with the rest. Custodio is fine. Plus, he did just get paid, but I forgot about his tithe to his temple, so he'll still have a humble amount of coin. ;)

I'm fine with this and I'm sure @ScottDeWar_jr will take the extra gold if it is given to him. I just wanted to give the group the option of changing the allocation of the coins from the first treasure list. If everyone is fine with it, then Vinny will still get all the coins from the first treasure list.

Remember, also, that you initially allocated Vinny the diamond (and the other two gems*) in the shares you came up with (but also noted you wanted it for Akos to study) before learning it had an important backstory (sorry that took so long), and, now, I'm assuming the group wants to keep the Canary Diamond due to its in-game history and the possible political intrigue that could result from its rediscovery in Bluffside.

*Vinny still got the other two gems (a blue sapphire and a star rose quartz) worth a total of 907 gp.

An even split from the Crossed Candles treasure list is probably the way to go, and it has been my assumption that the rest of the gems would be liquidated for gold.

I will split the value of the coins and gems from the second list equally among the PCs (but not Custodio). But, am I also including Tuck and/or Vitus?

I do like the idea of an extra share for liquidated assets, so it is something for you all to consider, but I will divide up the value of the coins and gems without that option, as a starting point.

A good idea.

Total Value of Coins and Gems (CC Battle)
4601 gp and 7 sp.

Akos, Falen, Rockhorn, Tymbeck and Vincenzo
Divided by 5: 920 gp, 3 sp, and 4 cp.

Akos, Falen, Rockhorn, Tymbeck, Vincenzo, and Tuck/Vitus
Divided by 6: 766 gp, 9 sp, and 5 cp.

That second option could also be used to create a group share instead of allocating to either Tuck or Vitus.

FYI... Yesterday wasn't just about Thanksgiving.

My mom is moving out of her house into an apartment in a seniors' building, so my sister and I had to help her go through things as well. We had to help set aside dishes from the kitchen and pictures and keepsakes from around the house to be packed. There was a lot of going up and down the narrow stairs in the house and and more lifting than I'm used to doing all at once.

Thus, I'm really wiped out today. Very tired. Very sore.

In character, I don't think it makes sense to give money to Vitus. They already gave him a cloak, a bow and several gems. More than enough of a 'thank-you' for curing Vinny.

Out of character, I think it's best to keep the money 'in the party' instead of an NPC.

I'd vote to give the last share to start the 'group share' and use it to buy stuff. 750 gp for a Wand of CLW would leave 16.95gp for the group share.

  • Yes to separate group share, it will prevent voting each time and we can agree to take a part of it to help someone obtain the item if they are a bit short on cash
  • No for NPCs getting the share of money since there were multiple rounds of picking for them and Oakfirst gave parts and such. In-game, it would be fine, but meta-knowledge: PCs need the money to keep wealth-by-level estimated power (and by that, I also consider item destruction of Akos a bad form. I understand it story-wise, but Akos will start falling behind as we fill out our item slots and upgrade our items)
  • I'm fine with splitting the money equally, my vote would be to split it relative to the difference between characters, but that is more bookkeeping for everyone

So, both @Tellerian Hawke and @Aust Thale gave me the go ahead to give the coins from the first treasure list to Vincenzo. That was also @Neurotic's choice. Since JustinCase and Scotley are no longer playing in the game, neither Tuck nor Breva can/should have that gold allocated to them. And, it was before both Rockhorn and Vitus were added to the game.

Going forward, we will use the idea of splitting all coins (and gems?) evenly between all the PCs. Custodio (and Tuck) will not be included, unless you guys feel like throwing those NPCs an occasional bone. It will be up to you. An extra share for the entire group will be included, so that means each PC (except Vitus) gets a total of 766 gp, 9 sp, and 5 cp from the CC battle treasure list. Add it to your PC sheets accordingly.

I will keep track of the group share, if you guys prefer I do so. Or, one of you can do it. Either way is fine with me. There is just enough in the group share to buy a Wand of Cure Light Wounds (50 charges), if you want. That's 750 gp. That will leave 16 gp in the group share, along with the silver and copper noted above.

Note
I will keep rolling profession checks for both Custodio and Tuck, as needed (other allied NPCs too). Tuck will exit the game, at some point, but Custodio will remain attached to the PCs as Oakfirst's liaison to the group and also a key member of the new Lionhead Knights. Both Akos and Tymbeck will be his captains but they won't have to pay him. His pay will come from the city.

EDIT: Tuck has 2 pp, 6,640 gp, and 12 sp, so he's fine for wealth right now.

I still need to work out how much the PCs get from all the rest of the captured loot. I'll try to get it done tonight, but it might be tomorrow. I have physio again tomorrow, so I want to get it done before I go to physio.
