Yeah, I'm not sure that KD would apply to the actual grapple check. It would apply to the touch attack to start a grapple, but I'm not sure about the grapple check itself.I'm back and using home computer, so all rolls are from coyotecode. I keep forgetting +4 from knowledge devotion and I'm not sure it applies on grappling...it probably doesn't apply to the doppelguard (I used knowledge (local) - if I have to roll another knowledge check, let me know)
This part of the advice seems to be reasonable. So, Akos can activate the healing blast, but unless he does so defensively, he'll provoke an AoO from the Loyalist Akos hit with his own AoO. I believe the enchanter will still be cowering until after Akos turn is done, so she can't get an AoO vs. him. The other bad guys are close enough.…But it might be better for everyone to simplify things
This is, obviously, enormously complicated… and not a whole lot of fun. (Seriously, only the most paranoid or feat-rich warlock takes the feat Sudden Still of all things!) A DM that allows the warlock to just go ahead and blaze away with his blast while the warlock's grappled yet only provoke attacks of opportunity for activating the spell-like ability and making the ranged attack does the warlock's player—and, perhaps, all the players, including himself—a tremendous favor.
