Fair warning: I have a spell in a domain slot that could nuke this encounter...but it is not selective. Genie and Tim are immune, of the enemies, umdwad and maybe Kellam are...and for certain whatever monster comes from behind.

This is last ditch thing since confusion still holds...but be aware that if Akos says something like "run, don't look back" it is literally DO NOT look back

There’s an Abstinence component?? What happens if you have Eschew materials?

I think Tim has both protection and resist fire on him. I’m actually thinking this might be a great tactic going forward: we ward Tim and he wades into combat and Akos uses artillery as soon as the enemy mobs him.

We are a good duo since Vitus’ Domain spell is Protection from Elements

I had to edit the OOC box in this post to clarify how the Soul Stolen's eye rays work. I can't remember if anyone tried to identified the creature. We stopped almost right after it first appeared.

As Maggs' mind succumbs to Akos magic, the creature behind her steps in between her and the thug at the bottom of the stairs. It seems to sense that the floor in front of it is affected by magic. Its glowing, yellow eyes shine out like rays of magical light and sweep across the corridor. It turns its head towards the wall and then steps up onto the wall using just its legs... at first. It hisses and leans in towards the wall and you are horrified to see a tentacle like limb protrude from its gut and stick to the wall.

The undead monstrosity skitters up the wall to be ten feet above...

Is there a better way to do it, you think? Or are people remembering and I’m being paranoid?

Unfortunately, you have to take care to remind everyone always. I've player Rune Knight in 4e, kept the list of effect at the start and mentioned everyone included in buffs specifically.

Same with Litrix in another thread here, marshal that gives off specific bonuses for various things depending on whether he hits, what auras are active, if there is flank...you have to repeat stuff.

I can see that if it’s a circumstantial bonus like “when I spend an action” or “when I hit” or “when I’m within 30 feet” everyone gets a bonus

But if someone casts “bless” on my character which will last the whole battle, I just mark in my posts so I don’t forget. Otherwise, if I forget, we have to go back in time and redo stuff, which takes forever in pbp

In any case, I’ve edited my sheet so everyone should be able to see their buffs now. Rockhorn has Benediction on him so make sure you read that spell up, it’s pretty powerful
