lead mini recommendations

First Post
Hi all
Apologies if this has been covered lots of times before but I am just about to start DMing D&D again after about a twenty year absence from behind the screen and I want to start painting up some figs. I am in the UK - what is a good range/online source of good fantasy minis? I don't suppose there are any Dragonborn out there yet but has anyone found a good lead substitute?
Thanks in advance
Bill

Reaper minis is about to go back to using actual lead due to price gouging in the world metals market. It will drop their prices back to the price range they had a few years ago. Won't be that big of a discount, but mini prices have gotten pretty abhorrent as the OP may have noticed.

I'm sure if I like that. Lead figures are just so.... well brain cell destroyers of the 70's and early 80's. I did note the price increase however of Reaper figures which makes me more hestitant to buy something on a whim.

Wouldn´t a well-painted lead mini be reasonably safe?

I mean, don´t give them to your toddlers to chew, of course, but there should be nothing wrong about manipulating them in-game, no?
