Spiders on the Bridge

Gorash's telling blow crushes the thorax of the arachnid S2 and the verminous creature expires at once.

OOC: The natural 20 should do something special, but in this case just the damage rolled was enough to kill the monster. Therefore, I'm postponing until a later time making a binding decision about what is the effect of a natural 20. :p [possibilities: Max. Damage, Double Damage, Some other extraordinary effect at DM's discretion?]

Spiders on the bridge

The last two spiders still team up on Girion Valtar and both try to bite him. Both spiders bite viciously and penetrate Giron's defenses! Take 2 hp of damage and roll 2 saving throws vs. poison at +3.

1d20=20, 1d20=20

Spiders on the Bridge

The (rest of the) party is now up. Girion Valtar crumples to the floor of the bridge in a heap, foaming slightly at the mouth. He appears to be alive but insensible.

Ellydd does as Gorash suggested, lamenting his lack of a Slow Poison spell. A mistake he vows to not make again if Ehlonna lets Girion live. [Given the current map, he'll drag him back into the corner of Z-18, as the farthest point he could get to.] Ellydd then begins praying over the poor ranger in fervent hopes the grace of Ehlonna will fortify his body against the spider's poison.

Ehlonna's Mercy?

steeldragons, please roll 1d% for each point of Ellydd's wisdom bonus. Do not combine or modify the rolls in any way. In other words, I'm gving you as many chances as Elydd has wisdom bonus points to make an extraordinary roll. I'm just not telling you whether you're looking for a high or a low roll. :p
