Well, I'm back up and operational...but because our old IT guy didn't have my back-ups working correctly, I've lost 10-20 gigs of information (dating back as far as 2002) that I really sort of need.

I'm hoping the "higher-ups" will realize the value of spending $1000-2000 to have a professional data retrieval place pull the information from the drive.

Low.

However, in the past I have had single archived email messages that have saved the company tens of thousands of dollars. No exaggeration. I would think that on the sheer chance that something like that comes up again in the future they would want to have this information available.
