Leif's Homebrew 4E, OOC1

Gosh, Lou, that would have been easy to fix! I let Walking Dad basically re-build Tarrk pretty early on, and I thought I made the same offer to everybody. Anyway, you could have started a new character any time you felt like it.

Anyway, Lou, Scotley, and Walking Dad are all welcome to play in the new game when it is launched. Possibly with one to three others who are either chosen by the current players or attracted via the usual cattle call recriuting method. Rhun would be a good choice if he's interested. Shayuri would also be a good choice, except that he doesn't seem to like my DMing much.

I will happily play in your new game, epically it is 4e or Mongoose RuneQuest. I always wanted to try the later and got the books.
Glad to hear it, WD! You'll definitely be invited. Also I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person in the world who owns Mongoose RuneQuest.

I know I could have changed character. I'm still trying to learn 4e, so not liking the character wasn't enough, unless we start dying.

To anyone still watching this thread -- hopefully at least Walking Dad and Lou (and Scotley) and now Shayuri

So I'm thinking of a situation where the characters are about 8th-10th level. They have been told all their lives that they are destined to be great heroes and will be tasked with defending all that they love against a great menace from beyond this world. [I'm not sure why -- some prophecy, or special birthmarks, or 2 "Y" chromosomes, or something, *shrug*. If the players want for their PCs to be related, we can work it that way, too.]

ANYwayyy, feats, skills, spells, etc. should be chosen to prepare the characters for the challenges that they have been foretold to face. So far so good? Does that sound like a plan you can get behind?

I don't know how long such a game would last. Once the "mission" is finished everything else will be somewhat anticlimactic. But if the world is interesting enough, perhaps the same players could switch over and play young relatives of their first heroes, say perhaps maybe second level, or some higher?

I was just spitballing today. This is the first decent idea I've been able to come up with. If it's stinking the place up, please tell me?

Sounds interesting. I want to play a swordmage, doesn't have to be a defending swordmage like in Scotley's game. Level 8 to start?

Probably half or two-thirds of the way to ninth, but, yeah, still eighth. So I guess we're playing 4E in this game, eh? :) I'll go out on a limb here and say that this is a lock on Walking Dad and Lou, then. Now we just need 2 or 3 more, and a smidge more good inspiration for the DM. [Oh, and Swordmages are extrmely cool, Lou! Good choice!]
