We have our fourth!
Yay! Shayuri has signed on to round out our party!
Now I've just got to get busy with the design work. 
Shayuri -- Looks like Waking Dad and Lou have decided to play Eladrin characters. Now, interestingly, it's really going to work out better for the story if you're all four related, either siblings, or cousins, or even DISTANT cousins, so if someone doesn't want to play an Eladrin, an Elf or Half-Elf will be just as good for our purposes of distant relatives. I'd even be prepared to say that a full-blood Human could have a tinge of Eladrin blood somewhere back up the family tree -- an Eladrin in the woodshed, if you will, hehe. In fact, the only races I'm really wantng to rule as off-limits are Dwarves and Half-Orcs. You good with that, Shayuri? Scotley's already agreed to it. No pressure, though.

Having given it more thought, a bit, I think we'll go with a customized point buy where all six stats start at 10, and you have 24 points with which to improve them in accordance with the chart on 4E PH p. 17. (Sorry, WD, if that's going to cause you headaches with re-figuring your stats.)

Hm! I like Eladrin and Elves and so on just fine, so that is not a problem.
The question is...what classes are represented?
I see a bladesinger wizard...which should be interesting. Never seen one in action before. I see a Swordmage, which is a good defender class. I haven't seen what Scotley's got, but he says he's making a striker. That'd leave me with the leader role...one I rarely play, so this will be an interesting change of pace. Good to stretch out now and then!

Will look back into my stats, Leif. Just changing starting Dex from 14 to 15. Changes nothing else.
(or does this also mean I can increase Wis to 13 and Cha to 10?
Shayuri, Artificers and Bards are good arcane leaders. Artificer would be effective with an Elf or Eladrin and half-elves make great bards. Just suggestions.

I'm not certain of the specific effects of the change on your stats without going over them in some detail, which I'd rather not do just at this moment. Just make it work out, Dad. I pretty much trust you.
If your going to play the "leader," don't settle on a class without considering a Warlord! I've never seen one of those in action before, and I'm intrigued to do so. And Clerics are always a good choice. But, you know, the Bard option has a lot to recommend it, as well. Not sure about Artrificers at all.
I understood that this is what you were considering. I sent you an email today discussing options, but you have made some of the options unnecessary by announcing your intent to play an assassin to the group. Thanks for that, by the way. Thanks for the ENWorld XP today, too!

Swordmage, Bladesinger, Assassin, and Bard. We did almost ended up with an all arcane party! Now that would have been a cool twist on my all arcane game --> College of the Fey. Actually, it would have had the potential to be what my Whirtlestaff's Wizards' Academy game was originally intended to be but hasn't ever quite been.

BTW, I played an eladrin warlord on L4W since level 1. He is currently level 9.
