I'd like an intelligent pair of boots.. they'd complain all the time.

That would make for great roleplaying, though! LOL.

In a game I was in here a couple of years ago, the DM had allowed me to forego my Animal Companion for some extra feats. But as part of that, he stuck my PC with a crow animal companion that pretty much was only good for mimicing my PC and shouting out curses and expletives. It made for some fun roleplaying.

Sorry it's taking me a bit to get stuff setup. This will be my first time attempting a character above 5th level, and 88,000 is a boatload of gold to play with. >.>

I'll try to get stuff up soon, just giving you a headsup.

I want to try a higher level game to see the difference, but it's also something that might take a bit for me to adapt to. <.<

Edit:
Leif, how do you feel about the feats Collegiate Wizard and Precocious apprentice? Both are in Complete Arcane, page 181.
No, sweat whatsoever man, just take your time. And I know there are some players here who have plenty of experience playing at this level who would be very happy to answer any questions that you may have. I'm not very well-versed at this level, myself.... :(

Reposting question that seems to have been missed:

**Just in case I find myself in the position to procure one(Unlikely but possible), what are your views on Intelligent items? Yay/nay?**

*Is glad he missed the nickname game*

Yep, I missed this one! Sorry. Let's keep it simple and say 'maybe.' :D What sort of stuff would you be wanting the item (sword?) to do? Actually, this is a can of worms that I'd really rather not open. For one thing, I'd have to rule that the item was an npc under DM control, and you might not like that and I might run out of Kb of memory for the game!

Hehehehe, sounds like my kinda DM! (Be advised, Jemal!!)

Got you beat.... LOL... I couldn't decide on what to take for an animal companion so I told the DM to make me one that would be.... and I quote... 'interesting' (NOT smart on my end really)....... needless to say I ended up playing a frickin druid with an ooze mephit as a companion and the thing came complete with lisp and a affinity for being physically clingy :/....

Alright, you win! That is a true RB DM!

Usually I stick with weapons.
Ok, cool, and just what would you be wanting this intelligent weapon to do??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that is just too great! A "clingy ooze!"
I think you missed this question Leif. I'm just starting to think slowly, lol.
yep, sorry, I was gonna answer it, really I was, I would have sworn that I quoted you last time, but the question didn't show up in my post. Come to think of it, I don't see your question in this post, and I KNOW I quoted you this time! Very strange. Anyway, Collegiate Wizard is DEFINITELY in! Precocious Apprentice, it seems to me would be a waste of a feat at this level, but, if you want it, go for it! ;) (I'm sure I already said that in this thread before, too..)
